DualShockers sits down with game developer Yang Bing to discuss his video game Lost Soul Aside and what he hopes to achieve with the project.
Lost Soul Aside. Originally a one-man project that was picked up by Sony, the game's been in development for roughly seven years. In that time, the title has clearly undergone some dramatic changes — especially in terms of scope — and it's looked more and more promising with every showing. The game's most recent appearance arrived last summer, when a new trailer seemingly confirmed that the initial PS4 version was cancelled, in favour of PS5 and PC.
Hard to blame you. The original announcement is almost 10 years old. The article calls it a 'long-awaited PS5 game' but when it first appeared the PS4 was barely a couple of years old.
It kind of has that Nioh thing going for it
Nioh originally was going to be an early ps3 game.

That's probably a good thing.
It flies under the radar with no hype. I find that to be very positive for the game's odds of delivering.
Integrating hundreds of stock assets is not an easy task.
It might look good, sure, but good luck with making it work and become an actual decent game.
With ChinaJoy in Shanghai in full swing, UltiZero Games released a brand new trailer of its highly-anticipated action RPG Lost Soul Aside.
To be fair it was just 1 guy making the game originally. I think it's a team now albeit a small one.
is it ever coming out or do we just get to see these "gorgeous and amazing" trailers for the rest of our lives?
Sony Interactive Entertainment will publish Ultizero Games-developed action RPG and PlayStation China Hero Project title Lost Soul Aside worldwide, the companies announced. It will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
This game has been on my radar since it was announced 1 million years ago (or so it seems)! Wasn't it being developed originally by just one person?
Yes it was, then Sony noticed the game and started funding the development. There's a whole studio working on it now.
I cannot wait to play this. wish they'd release a gameplay demo, even if it's a quick one. I just want to know how it handles.

When is this game coming outtt. Its a hack and slash ive been wanting to play since platinum games are hadly on PS4
Really hope its not open world like Nier. Could not get into just because of the open world. If they make the level design like Devil may cry 3 , bayonetta and ninja gaiden 2 they got themselves a winner in my book.
