Rare lead character artist Sam Chester talks through the conception, design, and implementation of the "infinite pirate generator" character creator in the studio's swashbuckle-'em-up Sea of Thieves.
How Rare designed the one thing nobody wanted in Sea of Thieves.
CDK Global fired Renata Solomon in Greensboro but Renata now earnes 16010 working with Autoliv from home. website here>> http://tiny.cc/ww3opy
This has a lot of unintentional similarities to no mans sky.
They designed it using the time they should have used to make the game fun.
Yeah it took them 2 years to make ONE ship😉
Remember back in the days, where creating character with so many possibilities used to be free and common>?
I don't know if it's true but I heard rare had a room full of slaved drunk monkeys randomly typing in keyboards for four years, the end result was SoT. Poor monkeys were only fed rum and cocnuts.
If thats true, then SOT is the first actual masterpiece lol.
Did you just say "cocnuts"?
The infinite generator that gives you the same looking characters that are ugly as sin. It's the worst. Should have given us a character creator instead of sitting there for hours hoping you finally beat the RNG and get a good looking character.
The way rare spoke about this game last year made it seem like they were finally taking their time on a good project.. Only to find out it was an outlet designed for MS to sell you future content.. Also a scam to get customers to buy game pass subscriptions.. Dirty as all hell imo
This system is anything but user-friendly. Nobody wants to play as ugly characters so people will just keep hitting results until they get one, but that needlessly takes forever and it really puts off the appeal from the get go. All in the effort to stop people from getting creative freedom.
Such a terrible idea. Why they didn't just allow you to create a character tether then pour over hundreds of random looks in the hopes of finding one that is remotely personal will always astound me. The solved Zero problems with this solution, it's not fast, it's not easy, it's actually a PIA.
