That’s the least amount of time someone has been a president of Nintendo.

I salute the guy given for how he performed under the circumstances that put him in the position in the first place though.

Not a Switch owner (yet) but I have a lot of respect for the guy, he took over and lead Nintendo through a crucial period and can retire with his head held high knowing he's done a damn fine job.

Nintendo has gotten to such a good place after what happened with the Wii U. Hope the next guy can keep the train rolling.

I've been waiting on the successor, as Nintendo did say that Kimishima was a stand-in when he first got the job.
Nintendo's new president, Shuntaro Furukawa, seems like an interesting choice, as was Iwata when he was appointed.
Along with Furukawa, three younger executives will also replace retiring senior managers. Looks like new blood is entering the Nintendo boardroom.

Well, Mr. Furukawa, I look forward to seeing what you bring to the table. Good luck! And Mr. Kimishima, you surprised me, both good and bad, but you did a hell of a job steering Nintendo through the storm. You have my respect.
