From Shacknews: "Revival Productions announced today that Overload, the six-degrees-of-freedom spirtual successor to the 90s classic Descent, will be available for Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs on May 31, 2018. The game will set you back $34.99 and will be available to purchase on Steam and GOG.com. Revival Productions was founded by Mike Kulas and Matt Toschlog, the co-founders of Parallax Software. Descent was developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay in 1995. Overload resembles Descent gameplay, and features maze-like levels with radically improved graphics and features. Check out the release date trailer."
Carlos writes: "For those yet to hear of Overload, it’s a game that comes from the guys over at Revival Productions and part of the reason why it looks and feels a lot like the aforementioned Descent - for those of you old enough to remember Descent that is - is because the guys behind the development are indeed the same ones that created the classic title all the way back in 1995."
Neil writes: "Remember Descent and the six-degree-of-freedom shooting action it delivered? Well, it's spiritual successor is now here. Overload!"
James writes - "Revival Productions originally expected Overload to blast onto Xbox One at the latter end of last year, but now we’ve got a concrete release date of 6th March. That means it won’t be long until you can finally experience what’s being billed as the ultimate zero-G shooter."
