Edge writes: "When streaming games-on-demand service GameTap launched in October 2005, we were a bit skeptical of a service that charged people to play what were largely old games, many of which people would typically play through an emulator.
But the PC-based service has evolved over the past three years, and now offers original titles, new releases, GameTap exclusives, free games and a digital storefront on top of the classic titles. And it's just plain convenient.
We like GameTap quite a bit nowadays. We'd like it even more if we could have a console version too, or at least something with a similar business model."
