Great to hear. Amazing game all around.

“That being said, one thing is for sure: the game looks absolutely beautiful in both modes. If you prefer higher frame rate, you’re not sacrificing all that much in terms of visuals. This is certainly a testament to the fantastic level of detail the good folks at Sony Santa Monica have poured into the game.”

Nitrowolf22584d ago

FPS mode is the way to go. As sharp as it looks in visual, going from 30 to near 60 was a huge game changer for me here.

Muigi2584d ago

So you have an early copy?

mikeslemonade2584d ago

Can’t wait for digital foundry’s pro vs poor comparison, so i can proving to you guys that ps vanilla owners are missing out the true experience.

TeamIcoFan2584d ago

B-but...b-but...I was told there were massive downgrades and it looked absolutely fugly now!!!!
What sorcery is this?!

solideagle2584d ago

where is that guy who makes youtube comparison videos for PS exclusives now?

Nyxus2584d ago

His articles are no longer allowed on N4G.

Sunny_D2584d ago

@Nyxus

Is that true? Those videos pissed me off so much. Not that I don’t believe you. Just want to see the post for interest.

Nyxus2584d ago

@ Sunny_D: This was their last comparison video on N4G, that was failed: http://n4g.com/news/2155259...

The report reads: "Nope. You burnt your bridges with your very poorly handled comparison videos over the the last year. We're not allowing them anymore."

Elda2584d ago

Woah! The recent looks more detailed.

AspiringProGenji2584d ago

Once again a PS4 exclusive proves there's no downgrade, while the 50/50 vision people of this site who convince themselves so much there's downgrade in any ps4 exclusive look dumb

It just goes to show how exclusives can really show off a system, this is what happens when games are created for a console from the ground up. Great exclusives nearly always look better than 3rd party games.

kevnb2584d ago

that's because games like this are meant to sell the console, not to sell loot boxes and multiplayer dlc.

Gaming_1st2584d ago

What first party studios sell loot boxes and multiplayer content? just curious.

kevnb2584d ago

ones that work for Microsoft mostly.

chrisoadamson2584d ago (Edited 2584d ago )

The witcher 3 says hello

Hardiman2584d ago

It's not an exclusive and as a matter of fact I'm loving it on the Pro!

Dragonscale2584d ago (Edited 2584d ago )

@chris, I said nearly always lol. Anyhow think GoW beats W3 tbh.

Heelix2584d ago

I'm hooked up to a 1080p display so performance mode is perfect for me.

LIGATURE2584d ago

Guess ill have to wait for ps5 to play this in true 4k60fps in VR 😂

Ex-PlayStation Boss Shuhei Yoshida Pushed for God of War Reboot Delay

Former PlayStation Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida saw God of War as a "problem" when he first played it, and advocated for its delay.

gold_drake30d ago

yea, its also mentioned in the documentary they did about it.

isarai30d ago

Ye, it just wasn't up to their standards, nothing wrong with that imo

Goodguy0130d ago

And it became one of my most favorite games of all time and I still like it more than the sequel.

goken30d ago

Well if a game/movie/project needs fixing, especially something with the legacy that god of war does. Delay and fix it, don’t ruin the legacy by releasing crap.

Babadook729d ago

Way to go.

Like Miyamoto famously said.

“A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”

Dandalandan11745d ago

Where's the remaster/port of the Greek Saga?

micdagoat1945d ago

On PS3? they "remaster" games that are barely 5 years old. We can't even play the ones from PS3 natively right now on a PS5

micdagoat1945d ago

Sony has been so quiet about that its annoying. I have no idea why they wouldn't

spicelicka45d ago

As much as I love the new God of war saga, I really miss the scale and epic set pieces of the OG games :/

SonyStyled45d ago

Thank you Mr. Jaffe. Few franchises stay relevant for 20 years. Thank you Stig, and Corey too
