From Eurogamer: "If the story of DICE's Battlefront is a one of a young upstart torn between the forces of dark and light then this, coming after the series found itself corrupted and besieged late last year, should be the third act that offers some kind of redemption. Star Wars Battlefront 2's new update, which dropped last week, sees the game undergo the biggest overhaul seen in a big budget title since Diablo 3 excised its auction house - and it's a change that's come about in a fraction of the time. Even then, is it all too late for DICE's shooter?"

Is Star Wars Battlefront 3 coming? Well, the correct answer is yes, no and maybe. It’s been six years since the second instalment, and fans are still waiting for confirmation of another sequel.
Game companies are not mature enough to handle this concept without turning it into a casino.
The remakes of battlefront should have been more simular to the originals. CoD/battlefield reskinned as Star Wars was not the anwser.

Remembering or celebrating? It's Halloween yo, that's what people are celebrating.
The first game was really fun. I remember being disappointed with this one when it first released.
I went back last month actually, and had more fun than when released-but I still think the first one is superior. Do like the soundtrack!
People already move on. Sure, people can come back to play SWBF2 but the damage is already done.
I still don't know why in the fuck I'd want to play an FPS as a battle droid in 2018. I mean, who was seriously asking for that?
No
Nope. The game is fundamentally bad. The loot crates were just the tipping point.
If the game would have launched as it stands it would have been a massive success. Who would have thought that leveling and progression occurring from actually PLAYING versus gambling with lootboxes would have made such a difference (thanks to the EA's dumbass CEO). The other aspect that has changed is that now when you are able to spend battle points you are more inclined to do so as it actually levels up the character....fundamentally changes gameplay for the better. In the past players would in many cases just save points.
We now need to see more content, however, with next to no financial incentives I do not see this happening from EA and DICE. They will continue to throw recycled content from BF 1 into the game (levels, characters etc) in the hopes that this appeases the players.
We need both this new progression updates AND a steady stream of updates and content to keep this game going.
