Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Both Conker’s Bad Fur Day and it’s remake Conker: Live & Reloaded quickly became fan favorites when they released on the Nintendo 64 and Xbox respectively and have had players clamoring for more from the foul mouth squirrel for years though no one has stepped up to the plate to bring Conker back in a meaningful way. So instead of looking forward, we’re looking back to try to determine which of these two is the better title."
From Xbox Wire: "The July Games with Gold lineup is here! On the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, explore a mysterious, strange world in Planet Alpha, and create your own levels and destroy everyone else’s in Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break. And for our classic lineup via Backward Compatibility, play as everyone’s favorite raunchy squirrel in Conker: Live & Reloaded, and relive the golden age of arcade gaming in Midway Arcade Origins."
Confession time... I never played the original Conker on N64 and I did not play the xbox remake. It wasnt until Rare Replay that i played a Conker game. I do enjoy the Midway arcade series though. And that Planet Alpha looks kind of intriguing.

Will never understand the love that Conker and Banjo Kazooie garners. I had both on N64 back in the day. Both were just inferior versions of Super Mario 64.
Make it 4k retro compatible, I have my original game ready to play again.
The first time I played Conker’s Bad Fur was via Live and Reloaded on the OG Xbox. I didn’t play the original Bad Fur Day until I got Rare Replay. I prefer Live and Reloaded because of mechanics. The visuals of both versions of CBF have aged shockingly well. I personally prefer Live and Reloaded, but this maybe due to me playing it first.
Matter of taste really, as both are almost the same, except for the obvious graphics and online.
I personally love the Nintendo 64 cult classic, because, for me, there's no comparison. Not just based on what I played first, but the overall experience and references felt more fresh than the remake.
This was a disappointingly basic article. 65-70% of it is spent setting up the context and history of the Conker project with only a few paragraphs discussing the actual quality of the games. And then the only actual comparison point really made was comparing visuals and multiplayer.
But there is so much more difference than that. I’ve seen YouTubers going all in doing 20+ minutes videos comparing every changed mechanic, comparing dialogue differences, and differences in enemy health and behavior and certain sections of the game which were altered slightly or changed completely...etc...
All this article boiled down to was yeah it has multiplayer you can still play on N64 because it’s offline!!!! And the Xbox version looks better and that’s the best version because it looks better and improves upon the original in every respect even though I don’t elaborate on how it improves upon the original in every respect!
The comparisons between the games were so skin deep.
