Blondlizard writes for P&L: "Up for one hell of a challenge? Get ready to flirt with danger."
"Over the past couple years, Nintendo's hybrid console has amassed a wealth of shoot 'em ups so here are the best ones so far." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Paul of Co-Optimus: "Steredenn is a shoot ‘em up with Roguelike elements released way back in 2015. It has always been a single-player shooter, but that recently changed with the free ‘Binary Stars’ update. Thanks to this surprisingly great update, the Xbox One and Steam versions of Steredenn now support 2-player local co-op (just like the Nintendo Switch version)!"
Jack from SwitchEra writes: "Developed by Pixelnest, Steredenn: Binary Stars launches onto the Nintendo Switch and into a heavily contested field: the eShop schmup scene. There’s no lack of choice, so if you want to stick out you’ve got to bring your “A” game. One way Steredenn manages this is to implement rogue-like features. I’ll go into detail later, but this design choice for the levels is excellent. There are only eight levels until you reach the final boss, but the amount of variety as you progress is astonishing and you find yourself being surprised even after sinking a good chunk of time into the game."
