At GDC last night, Unity showed off Book of the Dead on PS4 Pro.
DSOGaming writes: "Back in January we informed you about Book of the Dead; a first-person interactive story showing the graphical capabilities of the Unity Engine. And we are happy to report that Unity Engine has released the entire project, meaning that you can compile and run it on your PC."
This footage was captured on a PlayStation 4 Pro. Running in real-time.
wow..... truley s brilliant piece of tech there. No need for enemy's, weapons etc in this one. Just give me a controller and the freedom to roam that forest please.... far out, a sceptical that's unmatched for what ive seen so far!
Looking forward to seeing more about thi game.
Unity’s Demo Team, creators of “Adam” and “The Blacksmith”, have announced Book of the Dead, a first-person interactive story showcasing the capabilities of Unity 2018 for powering high-end visuals for game productions.
People slag on Unity, but it's really just a template for lower-end developers, or for those working around a budget, to get a few steps up on development. There have been fantastic, amazing looking games done with the engine. And if these screens are representative of the playable product, this is up there on the level of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, even.
Looks epic
That's freaking awesome.
This looks awesome. Definitely watching out for this one.
This looks interesting
