Ni No Kuni II is the closest to Suikoden you'll ever get

It’s been over a decade since Konami has released Suikoden V and since then, many fans are really getting antsy to know if there will be a sequel to the much beloved series. With Konami being quiet for over a decade, many assumed that the series was dead while many hoped that there will be a developer going to pick up that series. While fans of the Suikoden series are waiting patiently, there’s this game upcoming game called Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch from Level-5 that pretty much resembles the gameplay of the Suikoden series.

Did this guy ever played Suikoden...Ni No Kuni 2 haves nothing remotely similar to Suikoden series. The gameplay of Ni No Kuni 2 actually haves more relations to Star Ocean or better Tales of Symphonia plus Pikmin mixing,..its action oriented and not Turn base,so i really dont see a connection anywhere to Suikoden series.

I think what they mean is the closest relation to it you will ever get considering Suikoden seems to never get a sequel. They know it's not exactly similar, but some smaller details may align with it.

Suikoden had four sequels. o_O

This is the closest thing we will get to Dark Cloud. It’s an action rpg and it has the building elements.

And Dark Cloud 1 > Dark Cloud 2, just to put it out there.

seriously, without reading the article?
and turn-base is what pops up when you think about suikoden?

they mean recruiting people and base building, and that should be the first thing that pops up if you ever play suikoden

kowan212d ago

Did you ever read the article? Have you played the game? Do you know much of all the gameplay elements of Ni No Kuni 2? No? Then I suggest you read up on it first before reacting.

Well i actually played both and played already a very large shunk of NNK2, so i can tell that Ni No Kuni 2 has nothing similar to Suikoden not even the town build/management.So i stand for what i wrote.

You can't blame someone for not reading the article when the headline compares it to Suikoden. It's just stupid.

Myst-Vearn212d ago

you can always blame someone for commenting without reading the article.

kowan212d ago (Edited 212d ago )

Huh? Well, they are comparing it to Suikoden. The article then proceeds to explain why it's similar to Suikoden. What kind of headline do you want them to use then?

I feel like there's no hype for this game. But I'm still excited.
