ESA Praises New Anti-Piracy Law

The Entertainment Software Association today applauded Congress and President Bush for signing the Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property Act of 2008 (PRO-IP) into U.S. law.

The law, which allows authorities to seize an entire households computer equipment simply if one illegally downloaded MP3 is found on just one of the machines, won't go into effect until the newly created position of intellectual property enforcement czar is filled.
