Super Bomberman R to blast on to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in June with platform-exclusive characters

YEEEEAH! Consoles need a Bomberman and even though this one wasn't the best according to the metacritics I am still excited to see this game come to PS4/Xbox.

I'm enjoying the bomberman clone that is being given away for free on PS+ this month... bombing busters I think it was. It's well designed and very challenging.

Don't heed the current metacritic score. It's gotten a ton of updates since launch and the score should easily be a point or two higher. It's a great game.

I never worry too much about the meta scores of most games. As long as the Bomberman multiplayer is intact and online works, I am positive it'll be ridiculous fun.

This is one of those really fun little games that I wish had cross-platform play between every console plus PC, honestly.
It would be great to be able to play this with literally everyone.

Isn't it still cheaper than what Switch owners paid for it? I forget the opening price it had back in March last year...

Regardless, it's a pretty damned fun game. Only played a sample of it, myself, but if I had more income and fewer games prioritized before it, I'd own it already, because I liked what I experienced.

I'm hoping the other platform owners give it a chance to impress them, too, even if the price is a little much.

Edit: Yeah, I just checked the price from back at its launch on the Switch.
$49.99 on Switch at launch, which, after taxes back then, equals out to a ballpark figure of about $53 and change, give or take.
Other platforms are all getting a roughly $10 discount on it, maybe a bit more, compared to Switch owners who bought it day 1, so although that's not a huge difference, it's still a good difference, plus they're also getting exclusive characters.

If they include any of the DLC, then these versions will be getting much more than their money's worth.
Which they should, since from what I remember, the DLC was free.

This game is great. They've put out a bunch of updates since the game originally launched back in March and it's definitely worth picking up now. Glad to see more people getting the chance to play it. Maybe if it's successful they'll put out some other new Bomberman games.

Warning everyone now, you're better off getting Bomberman Live! Battlefest if you have an Xbox One. Cheaper, smoother, better features, Backwards Compatible with Xbox One, etc.
