Call of Duty 5: A Step Back in Time or Just a Step Backwards?

Activision did the unthinkable. They took on arguably the most anticipated video game in modern history and held the Xbox Live charts for weeks, even months. When Game of the Year awards came out, many writers gave the nod to Call of Duty 4, not Halo 3. Furthermore, Call of Duty 4 was multi-platform and therefore available to a much wider audience. Based on what I've seen with the beta on such, I don't think it's a step backwards. While Modern Combat is much desired, the gameplay in CoD5 is done very well and provides a good deal of fun

The game is polished. I agree and stated that. Just playing with old tech leaves something to be desired.

There are way too many attack dogs. I feel like Michael Vick when I have to blast them in self defense

drunkpandas3660d ago

Hahaha. Yeah, the attack dogs are a bit unbalanced. Hopefully they rework that a bit for the final release

I actually like the attack dogs, they are very helpful in locating enemies and its a nice touch having German SHepherds if your playing as a German trooper.

I think they're a nice addition, but it needs to be limited a bit more than what it is now. You get too many people unleashing dogs and they're everywhere. You spend to much time melee-killing them to shoot at enemies

The overall feel of the game is great, but some may argue that it is just an expansion pack to COD4 and not a full game, think of it as skins, maps and slight tweaks, but a good game none the less

I think on the campaign side of the things, the addition of 4 player co-op might be enough, with the solid multiplayer, to make people hop over and pick this one up.

I Would agree with what taz said

As long as the campaign is worthy of a few playthroughs, the game will be worth the 60 bucks.
