The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR coming to PC via Steam on April 3

From Gematsu: "Following its PlayStation VR release in November 2017, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR will launch for PC via SteamVR on April 3, publisher Bethesda Softworks announced. It will be compatible with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality."

The story is too old to be commented.

Some people on Steam are a bit sceptical that it might be a mistake. For VR's sake I do hope it's true. Really enjoy this on PSVR and I took delivery of my Lenovo Windows Mixed Reality headset yesterday. I can see my self buying this again in the future once it's cheaper. Can't wait to play Skyrim VR though.

I mean if you read on the Bethesda website, they keep mentioning Steam VR and don't say anything about Vive. Fallout 4 never showed the Rift or WMR headsets as compatible. I think they are finally coming around and trying to get more money for their efforts by catering to a larger audience.

Heard a quite credible rumour that this might be an OpenXR project, which would explain why they don't really talk about specific headsets and why Rift gets to join the party.

The downside is that wouldn't allude to Rift support being added for Fallout 4 or Doom VFR.
