Immortal Redneck is a fantastic game, I'm having a blast with it. A lot like the original Serious Sam games, but with some great new elements (scrolls, skill tree, many different weapons). I have it on PS4 and it runs great. II'll probably get it for XB1 too.

Whilst it’s been heartening to see those eras visited recently by Assassins Creed and God of War respectively, it’s a shame there isn’t more use of those wonderful mythologies in games.

+ fun rogue-like mechanics
+ enemy and weapon variety
+ very bright visuals
+ skill tree, power ups and buffs and god alignment abilities
– can be quite challenging
– and vexing when you have a good run but have to start at the base of the pyramid aka rogue-lite is as rogue-lite does
