How Super Smash Bros Became One of Nintendo's Most Important Franchises

Many publishers have set out to create popular competitive games that also appeal to casual fans. Most have failed. Nintendo, meanwhile, managed it without even really trying, and now Super Smash Bros. is one of the most hyped games of 2018. The rest of the industry should be so lucky.

The story is too old to be commented.

Super Smash Bros is an important franchise for the industry as a whole, not just for Nintendo.

The thumbnail alone shows how something that could only be thought of in facfiction could come to become a reality.

Meh, to me personally, this game is overrated. I would rather play Power Stone than this. I had more fun playing that game than this.

you can say you dont like smash, thats fine. But calling it overrated is just ignorant, a game that brings u 50+ characters, 25+ maps, 1000+ songs, level creator, custom moves aand all this executed basically bug free on 60 fps is overrated?

I think you need to find the definition of "Overrated".I didn't say the game is bad. I just don't see the appeal of this game, unless you are die hard Nintendo fanboy or fangirl.

LMAO, It's a fighting game. Who cares about those things. Is it good? Is It fun?

1. Smash is not 'a fighting game' its a platform brawler. There is a big difference between a regular beat em up and smash.
2. WHo care about those things? THe players and potential customers maybe, use brain please. in regular fighting games the stages dont matter that much, but since smash is based on platforming it matters a lot. So you dont care about the soundtrack, the charcters, the maps of a game wahat do you care about then?
3. I know what overrated is and I know u didnt say its bad, its just not overrated either.
