Thankfully, Midway has removed the first game's interruptive trash-talk cinematics, making the football feel more focused this time around. However, the sideline players looked pixelated compared to the high-res active athletes - an example of unnecessary roughness. But really, will you care? It's not as deep as Madden, by design; Blitz: The League II is an action game wearing pigskin, tucked inside a salacious sports soap-opera with a sick sense of humor. But ultimately, it's the accessible gameplay that makes Blitz a pleasure - guilty as charged.
