Announcing Fortnite Battle Royale for Mobile

Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices! On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates. Starting Monday, you can sign-up for the Invite Event on iOS. Support for Android will be coming in the next few months.

Does this mean cross-play & cross-progression between Xbox and PC/mobile platforms is coming at a later date, or not at all?

Unless PlayStation is preventing cross play with Xbox then I don't see why not.

Well, as quite a few people have said before maybe MS only allows crossplay with other platforms under certain circumstances and Fortnite is not going to do it in a way MS likes so Xbox is out...

This is huge! I finally jumped on the bandwagon last month and found the game to be loads of fun with friends. Definitely a solid video game all around.

Curious to see how it plays on mobile. Only because of how underpowered most phones are compared to the consoles listed in crossplay.

They should separate the trophies tho, now many people download the free game for Battle Royale and don't get trophies at all which means the PvE trophies have a very low percentage of users achieving them and are rare...

I don’t play mobile games much or fortnite yet at all... but I think I’ll give this a go. Never found mobile games fullfilling and I’m sure I’ll be annoyed by touch controls but I’ll invite any opportunity to play a game like this especially in cross play. Even if this game is too difficult on mobile phones, I really find the crossplay interesting and would like to see other games explore that
