Shadow of the Colossus Recreated In LittleBigPlanet

Grundy The Man writes, "Now that the LittleBigPlanet Beta has come to an end, I thought that it would be appropriate to reflect on my favorite user-created level. Some ingenious soul took the time to meticulously recreate an interactive environment inspired by the PS2 classic, Shadow of the Colossus. This is an exercise in detail on an epic scale, that is worth applauding. Check out the video..."

I could not agree more. This has the potential to be one of the best games ever made... because they leave the creation up to us!

bgrundman6095d ago

I thought so too, that is why i posted it!

ammonator6095d ago

Makes me sad that the beta period is over. I have to wait another week until I can play LBP again :(

bgrundman6095d ago

I am just glad that most of these levels will be saved from getting deleted.

killyourfm6095d ago

If we would have known you could just leave the game on past the beta expiration (servers are still live)...ahhhh. The remaining 10 days is not going to be easy on us LBP addicts.

bgrundman6095d ago

No kidding, it would have been nice if they could have told us that in advance. Curse you internet for failing me once again! But in all reality 10 days isn't really that bad. Look how long the wait was between the end of the Halo 3 Beta and Halo 3's full release!

fishd6095d ago

I think the Colossi wouldn't be in so much trouble if they just shaved!

bgrundman6095d ago

Good Call, but good luck finding a razor that big

Max Power6095d ago

or possibly fire, singe the hair off.

Mario186095d ago

Theirs going to be so many damn things created in LBP that it would be like their are hundred's of games put into one.

NegativeCreepWA6095d ago

I hope they come up with some more search filters for the massive amount of content on the servers. Something like most hearted or most played. It was hard to to sort the good from the bad. I cant count the number of levels that said brilliant or great that ending being crap. Looking at other peoples hearted levels helped me find a lot of really good ones.

IMO People need judge the levels strictly instead of calling every level they enjoy a little bit brilliant.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Levii_9243d ago

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil42d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

__y2jb42d ago (Edited 42d ago )

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Wayyy to many games to list but the first 3 that popped in my head.
1.Okami
2.ESPN NFL 2K5
3.GTA San Andreas

DarXyde203d ago

Good list, but I would replace Onimusha with a Onimusha 2.

Amplitude202d ago

Amplitude still holds up brilliantly

Agent75202d ago

I'd say Onimisha 2 and Turismo 4 was better. Maximo, Auto Modellista, Shox, Wipeout Fusion and pulse, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution to name a few.

piroh209d ago

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic208d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23208d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1208d ago (Edited 208d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger199d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.
