Hindsight is 2020.
2020 sounds right to me to be fair. Sony seem to be shutting down support for PS3 & Vita in March 2019 so I’d assume that will be countered with release information and reveal of the PS5 for release the following year.
Ps3 and ps vita losing support on ps+ in march 2019 might be about the time they announce it for 2019/2020 release... just a guess of course
I doubt it means anything. They just have to announce the support will stop one year ahead, because if someone who only owns a PS3 or a Vita just happened to buy a year of PS Plus, I assume they'd be pissed if it ended soon and they didn't get their full year of subscription's worth. I assume Sony doesn't want to go through the hassle of refunding everyone in this situation.
PS4 will be supported until 2023/4, but the PS5 and next Xbox will release in 2020. The updated Nintendo Switch Pro or new Nintendo Switch will release in 2022/23
I actually don't care right now, I've got too many games as it is, don't need to add fuel to the fire yet.
Sooner the better for me. I’ve had more than my money’s worth out of the OG PS4 and it’s certainly showing it’s age now. Ready for an upgrade.
I don't really care enjoying PS4 thanks. When PS5 comes I will buy until then not going to worry.
Still playing PS4 including a backlog of games. So yeah I'm fine with 2020
i dont feel like the ps4 has even started. weve just come out of the remaster phase, next gen games are coming this year and vr is still in baby state. my ps4 has plenty of life init before im going to make the jump to ps5
There are so many amazing ps4 games still on the horizon, that I'd be hard-pressed to imagine it comes before 2020. If however, they plan to make ps4 games backwards compatible on the system, then maybe we'll see something similar to how Breath of the Wild released on Wii U and Switch. One thing is for sure, it's a great time to be a part of the PS ecosystem! XD
