Bayonetta 2 is not that good. The first Bayonetta was better in a direct comparison. Better level design, introduced the witch time in a big effective way, better bosses. B2 is just fight the 2 same enemies in a sky platform and then fight a boss in either a sky platform or float around in the sky. Nothing memorable.

You havent played Bayo2 have you? like what does "introduced the witch time in a big effective way" even mean? The only thing I can think you're referencing is the really basic time limit platforming Bayo1 had which is a really minor part of the game.

Level design is debatable because im not sure there's really much of a difference but Bayo2 is a hell of a lot more polished and makes much better use of colour compared to the original. But seriously you're going to try and claim Bayo1 had better bosses? Is this a joke? The bosses of Bayo2 are a step above those in Bayo1 and hell some of them even return for Bayo2 (with some variation on how they're fought) so I dont know what you're on about when you say 2 isn't that good when it features similar content from the original.

Then theres just the general polish to controls and combat which make Bayo2 far more enjoyable. I've kinda only realised this through going back to play Bayo1 on Switch.

I played B2 at launch just as I did play B1 at launch. I bought a WiiU for B2. And I was dissapointed. B1 is still the best hack and slash game.

B2 is 5 years newer than B1 and I can still come up with points where B1 is better. You guys don't have good taste in games.

Let me ask you, which game started witch time? My point exactly. B2 doesn't do it any better.

The bosses are better in 1. Fewer bosses, but quality over quantity.

Level design is better in 1, like you said there's more jumping. There's corridors and navigating around a level and fighting enemies before you fight the boss.

But gamers these days are surface level and lack substance. They want things stream lined. Like have all the dungeons layed out in bits like in Zelda.

@Knight Yes, but for those of us that have actually played through every God of War title, a change is fairly welcome. The original titles will always be classics, but Ascension showed us that the formula was starting to show its age, I know there’s a huge difference and understand why some people are worried, but I trust Barlog and the team to deliver an excellent title that is new, but still feels like God of War.

Besides, most of the people complaining are moronic anti-PlayStation fan girls who would be criticizing it no matter what it was.

Still haven't played Bayonetta 2 because i couldn't bring myself to buy a Wii-U. Bayonetta 1 was one of my favorite games of last gen so it's nice to see Bayonetta 2 getting another chance on a more successful platform. I've already decided that I'm going get Switch when Bayonetta 3 releases. Having these 3 games is already a good reason to get a Switch but having Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: BotW, and Mario Kart 8 with an upcoming new Metroid game certainly made the decision much easier.

With Sega still being the copyright owner Nintendo was the only one to share owner ship. It's very likely that Sony or any MS wouldn't even think about funding it because of that.

sadly the series was saved by the weakest player (Nintendo) I just couldn't justify rebuying a wii U for it, I got a switch for Mario Odassy and am holding on to it for Bay 3, got bay1-2, and a couple of other exclusives. but it really is a series that has lost its audance due to nintendo deciding to build ps3/xbox 360 level hardware.

I could say the same thing about Sony's larger games too. When you have an install base of 70+ million and some of their games sell like 5 million, no different than a console having 13 million and the game selling like 750k - 1 million. Ratios are still the same. Why don't more Sony fans support their titles too? Nintendo exclusives are always the highest selling games on their systems. On the PS4 and XB1, 3rd party software dominates.

At the end of the day most people who buy these consoles are casuals that lap up the mainstream drool. Lol so many of my friends are always like "bro you gettin the new call of duty " or "damn man you gotta cop that new starwars battlefront" and when i say nah im getting the new persona 5 game or nier automata they look at me like wut???

At the end of the day the hardcore make up about 20% of each consoles core fanbase with ninty probably being more around 33% just spitballing numbers here.

As a whole i wish these fantastic exclusives were the ones that were selling mainstream numbers instead of the mainstream microtransaction, lootbox filled, campaign halfassed, multiplayer grind focused games like halo 5, call of duty, starwars battlefront, overwatch and so many more.

These companies care about their bottom line. To spell it out for you... They care about how much $ x game brought in 1st. Attatch rate, 2nd as a metric to see how many of your console base bought the game (main reason to be looking at attatch rate). When in all reality, the 2nd thing isnt what keeps these companies from being shut down and or making additional games with that ip, or making new ip's. This metric is also something used by the hardcore of that instal base to justify why they are better than someone else. While i like some of your comments and enjoy banter with you, if you think attatch rate matters most or the same, as software or hardware sales, youre sorely wrong. $$$ is what matters most and if youre a nintendo gamer mainly, i can see maybe we arent going to see eye to eye on the matter, which is fine. Just call any developer (or any sales rep for that matter) out there and ask them if attatch rate or sales matter most. Thanks for the reply.

Also... attatch rates start falling off a cliff as said console approaches the end of their gen cycle. Does that mean just because a game sold 1-5 million with an install base of 70-100 mil consoles, that game is not succesful?

You mean like Skyward Sword selling 4 million with a Wii install base of 100 million? Metroid 3 selling less than 2 million? Xenoblade Chronicles selling 1 million? You guys always like to bring up attach rates and the truth is that most Nintendo first party games do not sell any better than Sony or Microsoft exclusives. Nintendo is dominated by casuals who mostly just buy Mario the same way many people buy a PS4 or XBox to just play Call of Duty. The difference is that exclusive games is all that Nintendo systems have going for it and they all should be selling well, not just Mario.

@paintedgamer1984 - the problem with your bottom line thinking is that on a console that has significantly more millions of gamers, it's only natural it's going to be more successful. So yes, 5 million copies sold vs 1 million means more money, but it's still the same percentage of gamers, which was my point. 1 million out of 13 million is the same as 5 million out of 70 million. So the same % of gamers are buying the game. Switch has already surpassed the Wii U and we are seeing games on that console sell far greater than they would have on the Wii U. Look at Mario Odyssey, that game will sell well over 10 million. BOTW has the potential to reach that mark as well.

Naw id rather the switch not turn into a port machine. Like most of the amazing 1st/3rd party titles are fine, but what the switch needs mainly is uniqe 1st and 3rd party titles than can only be played on the ninswitch.

Unless youre a diehard nintendo gamer, theres only a little over a handful of great games that came to the wiiu. Id argue more of the switch games should be ported onto the wiiu. For instance, mario odyysey, splatoon 2, and many others would breath fresh air into the forgotten platform.

Bayonetta 2 & 3 should've been available on all platforms like the first Bayonetta especially on PS4,XBO & PC along with mid gen console enhancements were the games would shine far as resolution & performance.Hopefully they port the first Bayonetta to current gen consoles.
