Spurred by the positive performance of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Ubisoft is ready to continue supporting the Nintendo Switch.
bring the games Ubisoft
Switch should be able to handle the likes of splinter cell and rainbow six as well as some assassins creed games. Bring on the ports ubisoft.
yep, no reason why not.
I don't know about assassins creed, ps4 and Xbox one processors couldn't even cut it on unity. The other two games are more likely candidates, maybe not as cpu heavy. And not a massive gorgeous open world with hundreds of NPC's to populate it.
Yea... Based on the recent offerings that's not really going to happen if you remember what they did with the Wii U it's very clear they understand those type of games are not going to work on this audience. I mean they made some pretty bold statements regarding no longer releasing mature rated games to this audience and it looks like they've kind of kept that promise from what you're seeing release on the Nintendo switch. I believe the best move for them is the continue to do stuff like you see with Mario Rabbids RPG. Games like Assassin's Creed and Rainbow 6 were specifically made for 8 gigs in mind and made it to run on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One I'm sorry but I don't see them scaling it down to run on a platform that's also not going to sell the game in a large quantity. I think they should continue doing exactly what they're doing right now. To my understanding Mario Rabbids RPG is the best-selling third-party game on the Nintendo switch right now. I mean that's kind of proving something ...
Ubisoft knows what they're doing. The Switch is where the gold is at. Keep up the great work Ubisoft and Nintendo.
"the Switch is where the gold is at" -> 44% of sales on PS4, 25% on Xbox One, 15% on PC, 6% on Switch.
Switch is slightly less than a year on the market... There are games that do better on Switch in percentage than other platforms. So yeah, the Switch is a goldmine.
There are plenty of games that don't. At least for Ubisoft, at the moment the gold mine is called PS4. Numbers are not an opinion. This is not to say that they shouldn't support the Switch, but let's keep things in perspective, because hyperbole like "goldmine" is ridiculous. The Switch is a gold mine, for Nintendo.
Perspective is key with those numbers. At least for the Switch. PS4 does awesome as usual, but the Switch has like four Ubisoft games on it, and only 1 is AAA. PS4 has every new Ubisoft game and all the backlog Ubisoft games that go on sale. Not even considering install bases of course. Hopefully that 6% improves for Switch in the future. It seems like it will if Ubisoft makes more quality games for it.
The Switch had like 3 games available from them vs how many for the PS4 and XB1? Come on, use your head Abriael.
Good way to straw man a comment. I mean Ubisoft had three physical games. And one of them ended up selling 2 millipn copies. It will only grow.
..where did the remaining 20% sell?
@xer-I don't think that it matters that the Nintendo switch is less than a year on the market especially if you look at Mario Rabbids RPG being the number one third party game on the Nintendo switch. What it's actually suggesting is that most Nintendo Gamers do not have an interest in those other properties but will buy a game that is of good quality with Mario. This means that in order for you to sell to make money on the Nintendo switch they need to literally make games that cater to those key specific franchises. Where eyes on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One or PC they don't need to specifically make any type of game exclusive or from some franchise from PlayStation or Xbox to specifically make money on those platforms. That audience buys Ubisoft games unapologetically and don't simply purchase only based on some specific exclusive franchise. So I don't think this has anything to do with the Nintendo switch coming out almost a year ago I think this has everything to do with that audience specifically only purchases a certain type of game in the majority. I'm sorry but you guys cannot seriously keep riding on this stupid excuse that the system came out a year ago because that did not stop sell them moving 5 million units and that did not stop Mario selling 9 million, evidently it didn't stop Mario Rabbids RPG from being the number one best selling third party game for that system.... Because what you're trying to suggest is that it's realistically not possible to sell such a significant amount of units yet, the best-selling games are kind of proving that is 100% false Incorrect and contradicts your entire point.
Hahana, no. Switch sells the least.
Oh like RE Revelations, or Steam World Dig 2, Celeste, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, or Skyirm vs the VR version, doom vs the VR version, LA Noire. Whoops.
^ Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sold 1.24 mil on PS4 What are you on about? https://www.vgchartz.com/ga...
@mic-Skyrim on VR actually sold more than the switch version... https://uploadvr.com/dont-r... Doom on the Nintendo switch moved like something slow like 3,000 units. These are hard numbers and they're very much showing that this audience likely does not care for these type of games.
They should port Assassins Creed Rogue, Watch dogs and Rainbow Six to show support.
I would buy AC 3,4 and watch dogs 1 but yeah..wont happen
I'd settle for a Mario + Rabbids 2
More support coming. This is nothing but good news. Bring on South Park!
This is great. I hope ubisoft can bring more stellar 3rd party exclusive content. Nintendo need all the exclusive content the switch can get.
