R-Type II Android is on Sale

Carl Williams writes, "The classic R-Type II is on sale right now on Google Play. This is one of the classic side scrolling shooters of yesteryear. This was one of the better-looking shooters back in the day, and it still is. On mobile devices there is not a lot of choices available for scrolling shooters and having both R-Type I and II available is just awesome."

made the mistake and bought the first r type for ios. it is a drag to play wothout real buttons. basically, i‘m done with mobile gaming. as a gamer i am a little bit more demanding than android/ios touch games. or the switch for that matter. both are neither fish nor flesh.

David: Side scrolling shoot ‘em ups are currently a novelty, replaced by endless runners, tower defense games, and platforming games that boast breathtaking visuals. Relegated as remnants of the past, younger generations can no longer appreciate the glory days of gaming as some of them can only be seen via YouTube videos or via subpar emulations. Besides, who owns a working NES or arcade machine nowadays?
