Many JRPGs have been ported over to the PC, but many are still inexorably linked to gaming consoles. Given that PC gaming is on the rise, here are ten JRPGs that deserve a place on PCs.
Ni no kuni!
There's a PS3 emulator that can run it. PC is getting close now that hackers can use patron to work full time on that stuff.
But you wouldn't need an emulator if it was ported, now would you?
I would be so happy if Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King came to PC, it's one of my favourite JRPG's of all time. Saying that, i could just play it on the emulator PCSX2.
Yes, but wouldn't you rather have an officially supported version of the game?
Only if it keeps the additions from the 3DS version.
All I want is a Valkyria Chronicles 2 & 3 (fully localised) HD remaster collection.
Suikoden could use another chance on Steam
It's on GOG. Pretty sure that's better than being on Steam.
From what I understand, that was for China and Japan not the US.
Sorry, my mistake. Was thinking of another game.
It'll never happen but I would love Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2 to see a PC release. Those games would look amazing with proper AA, higher framerates, and 21:9 ultrawide resolution.
You can play XC 1 on Dolphin with all that & HD texture packs, it looks pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I want DQVIII on Switch, but PC port isn't a bad idea. 3DS version is not good enough.
It's on mobile devices, so we know it's possible.
Heres my top 10: 1. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions 2. Skies of Arcadia Legends 3. Shining Force Complete Saga 4. Valkyria Chronicles 2 & 3 5. Xeno series games 6. Suikoden games 7. Jeanne D'Arc 8. Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre series 9. Grandia 1 & 3 10. Wild Arms Series
Should have already played them.
You're young, you've still got time.
You'll be aight, sir squire.
Except for Lost Odyssey, every single game is playable on PC through emulation. Properly updated versions would be nice though..
id be happy to have DQ8 on my ps4
I'd love to have DQVIII, Eternal Sonata, Ni no Kuni and all the souls game in Linux...
