The Wild Eight's original developer, 8 Points, sold the game to a new developer and changed their names. Backers didn't know this until several months after it happened. Is this a bad thing, and what rights are backers entitled to?
Jordan writes: "Whilst there could be some work done with the combat and control system, The Wild Eight performs well enough in all other aspects and presents you with more than enough gameplay to keep you entertained for hours."
Neil writes: "The Wild Eight sees you play out proceedings as one of eight survivors of a mysterious plane crash. And you know what that means? You must survive, by any means possible."
From PSU: "The Wild Eight is a fine survival and micromanagement simulator that is ably supported by decent crafting, exploration and a nuanced audiovisual presentation. However, the omission of the online multiplayer functionality which is arguably the cornerstone of the PC version, certainly stings much more than it should."
So the dev got money from the Kickstarter, then sold the game without telling backers, and then took off with all the money? Surely that's against Kickstarter's terms, right?
