Monster Hunter World Review (PS4) | Hey Poor Player

HPP: What’s more satisfying than taking down a colossal fire-breathing dragon with a giant sword/axe hybrid and an anthropomorphic cat sidekick? Not a whole lot, and when you do it as well as Monster Hunter has done, it makes for one of the best gaming experiences around.

MHW is the best game this generation. Even when you think the game is finished story wise it isn't, so much to craft -weapons and armor wise not to mention all the supplies you can use during battles.

Farming during maps is ace as well as collecting the collectables for yours house with your net, fishing, mining. I've put around 60 hours into it and there's some things I'd not figured out that I learned today that I heard others in my party on Xbox go on about.

It's even better that when you get past zorah, the big volcano that the games difficultie gets ramped up and unique high armies get unlocked.

MHW is not a game to be missed on either the ps4 or Xbox and I can vouch that online is stable as anything and doesn't frame rate or lag on Xbox and I'm sure it's exactly that on the ps4 too.

People will pour thousands of hours into this game just like they have previous titles.

Best game this generation, well done capcom..

Some love for Resident Evil Code Veronica, Dino Crisis, or Okami would be nice Capcom.

Code Veronica’s gotta be on the way. It’s the biggest missing link as far as remakes. Make it so!

What I'll never understand with Dino Crisis was that with RE6, they went down a action heavy route which people disliked and didn't fit the RE formula but I feel that would have worked perfectly for Dino Crisis if they went down the Dino Crisis 2 route of being a action game over the more RE inspired DC1.

As long as it's nothing like DC3, Id absolutely love a new DC game.

A Late Look: Monster Hunter: World

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "While it was a mixed pleasure overall - at times exhilarating, at others agonizing - I would have to say I enjoyed my time with Monster Hunter: World and found it to be surprisingly addicting. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I was surprised by how little had changed from previous titles, given how this particular entry took the series to unheard levels of popularity, but while it retains both positives and negatives from them, at the very least it’s a stellar-looking game that brings more freedom to the hunt than any of its predecessors (Monster Hunter Rise could possibly be a different story, but that, my friends, is a game for another article)."
