Shadow of the Colossus (PS4 Remake) Review | Level Down Games

Level Down Games says, "4,488 days have passed since we originally laid hands on what would arguably go down in history as Team ICO and Fumito Ueda’s greatest achievement. Shadow of the Colossus, even with it’s few grievances, was an absolute masterpiece on the PlayStation 2. 12 long years later, Bluepoint Games is releasing a from-the-ground-up complete remake for a new generation of gamers and for those of us who have been dying to get back into this universe. And guess what? It’s even better than we remember it being!"

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

Wayyy to many games to list but the first 3 that popped in my head.
1.Okami
2.ESPN NFL 2K5
3.GTA San Andreas

Good list, but I would replace Onimusha with a Onimusha 2.

Amplitude167d ago

Amplitude still holds up brilliantly

Agent75167d ago

I'd say Onimisha 2 and Turismo 4 was better. Maximo, Auto Modellista, Shox, Wipeout Fusion and pulse, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution to name a few.

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic173d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23173d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1173d ago (Edited 173d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger164d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.
