Shadow of the Colossus For PS4 Review - IGN

IGN : This remaster is a stunning return to the classic that wowed us in 2005.

Thatguy-3102277d ago

:D The game truly looks amazing on current Gen. Sony really should look into purchasing bluepoint games because they are truly talented devs.

IMissJimRyan2276d ago

At least from technical perspective they have already proved how good they are. Now, buy them, throw some artists there and let the magic happens.

FATAL1TY2276d ago

Hail to the KING

SOTC is the Best remake of all time!

DAY 1

G20WLY2276d ago

I'm buying this awesome game for my nephews. I look forward to them blubbing like babies 😂

TankCrossing2276d ago (Edited 2276d ago )

Bluepoint have a sterling reputation (that SotC will only enhance further), and they have said before that they have a queue of projects lined up. Near-constant demand to remake and remaster games for various publishers. They can basically afford to pick and choose projects that they want to work on.

The fact that they are working on passion projects probably contributes to the quality of their work, so in that sense it would be a shame if they were bought out by Sony or anyone else.

Just hope whatever game you are nostalgic for gets the nod from them :)

Imalwaysright2276d ago

FATAL1TY

Not that difficult when its the remake of one of the best games ever made.

UltraNova2276d ago

Excellent. SotC is with out a doubt the best remake ever. Well done Bluepoint.

SQUARE ENIX, please for the love of God give the FF7 remake to Bluepoint ASAP.

darthv722276d ago

These guys are masters of the remaster.

-Foxtrot2276d ago

Yeah they really should

Would be nice to have a developer who can remake old games.

Do remakes of old games, gain interest again then do a sequel.

UCForce2276d ago

I think Bluepoint know how to nail the remastered. Their first time with remake just nailed it.

IamTylerDurden12276d ago

You can tell that Sony and BluePoint put tremendous care into this remake. Finally ppl will understand that it is a ground up technical remake a la R&C. So excited for February 6th.

red2tango2276d ago

Would really like them to remake games like SOCOM 2 and possibly Syphon Filter.

DarXyde2276d ago

Bluepoint does a lot for Sony, but I think they should remain independent. They can only work on so many remakes/ remasters. The day they buy them is the day they just say screw BC entirely and we'll be paying for remakes/ remasters. Great developers, but I think it's in everyone's best interest for them to stay independent.

ILostMyMind2276d ago

I suppose that's what you think about MS wanting to buy EA.

DarXyde2276d ago

ILostMyMind,

I don't think Microsoft should buy EA. What's your point?

C-H-E-F2276d ago (Edited 2276d ago )

Remember Ready At Dawn? You're basically expecting Sony to do the same thing with them... isn't there a saying like, if you don't learn from your past then you're doomed to repeat history?

I think they should pull a polyphony digital and have a 3rd party / 1st party partnership but to acquire them will probably change their fate for the worst. Expectations will be too high.

Death2276d ago

Polyphony is the only studio Sony created. The rest were bought.

UCForce2276d ago

@Death But Sony make their studio to be the best.

jmac532273d ago

These guys made the 360 version of Titanfall look like the Xbox One version. Really would like to see what they can do with an original IP.

The fight with Phalanx should be as epic as it was back in the day.

SilverDemon2276d ago

OMG I loved that boss fight
Its the most breath taking moment in video games

Jumping off agro was epic AF

Hardiman2277d ago

Can't wait to play this amazing game again for the first time! Bravo SONY and Bluepoint!

I_am_Batman2277d ago

Good job Bluepoint. Please make Demon's Souls next.

KwietStorm_BLM2276d ago

Looking at Bloodborne and Dark Souls III, how much of an improvement would a remake of Demon's Souls even be?

AspiringProGenji2276d ago (Edited 2276d ago )

Not much, if not any. But getting yet another Souls fix is not a bad thing for the fans

fenome2277d ago

This year's coming out swinging straight out of the gate! Can't wait to check this out.

5 Games To Play While Waiting For Dragon's Dogma II

Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. every gamer should play this game

gold_drake100d ago

cant wait for it, feb and march are busy busy months ha.

SovereignSnaKe100d ago

I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.

MrNinosan100d ago

I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.

DivineHand125100d ago

Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.

The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.

For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.
