Review - Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory (PS4) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "This is a perfect case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Hacker’s Memory retains the visuals, gameplay, soundtrack, and overall story progression from the first Cyber Sleuth game, with a few new additions here and there. In some instances, the game feels more like an expansion than a new title, given how its story takes place during the events of the first game, as well as the fact the game assumes you know what happened in the first game’s story. For this reason, I have to say that, for as much as I loved this new installment, I can’t recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played the first Cyber Sleuth. If you have played it, on the other hand, then go for it. This is easily the PS4 equivalent of Pokémon, and it’s a good equivalent at that."

Yesssss. Been wanting to give Robocop a whirl! Getting 80's nostalgia-slammed this month it seems, I guess I'll give Texas Chainsaw Massacre a shot too. Dad had me watching that stuff at like 7 years old back in the 80's. XD Game on!

Playing it now on steam deck. It was 9.99 recently. It's wonderful. Love it.

I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with Robocop, one of my favorite games this gen

I heard that it's really good. Too many games but I will definitely give this a go as it seems actioney and I will be able to play in small chunks.

RoboCop and Digimon are good games. I don’t know much about Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I ffigured it was a multiplayer game and wrote it off.

I got rid of my copy of Robocop after finishing the game. Now I can get it through Plus to play the dlc releasing this summer.

It's just a shame this game took so long to release outside of the Vita/PS4. It could have made so much more success.

AnotherGamer1712d ago

For a niche title, this is a success by all accounts.

Vits1712d ago

For sure. Though as I said. It could have been much more successful if they didn't wasted four years on only two platforms. Even more because one of those two was the Vita.

did they ever correct the amazingly bad localisation translation?

Digimon story is the best kind of digimon game in my opinion. All they need to do is build on the foundations they have and get a bigger budget.

Edit: Also, I would like it if the next digimon story game they let you choose your gender.

Interloper2013d ago

Pretty sure Cyber Sleuth lets you do just that.

phoenixwing2013d ago

hackers memory didn't let you though as a sequel to cyber sleuth so i'm hoping for more cyber sleuth
