Fortnite Has Built Its Success on Polish Not Price

Twinfinite writes "Few times will you ever see a developer scramble so tirelessly to issue meaningful updates and changes in such a short time. With each passing month, Fortnite Battle Royale feels evermore the complete package. The game just keeps iterating and improving, and players are understandably loving it. This is where the similar upward trajectories of PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale differ somewhat."

When I get PS Plus, I must give this game a try. Heard so many good things.

SNACK_SHARK_TROLL2656d ago

I believe you don't need PS plus for free-to-play games, such as fortnite.

Sweet, that's great to hear. Cheers. DLing now...

It's free to play online, man.

ocelot072656d ago

Yer as others have said. Free to play games don't require PS+ to play online.

It definitely feels a lot tighter than PUBG. I don't doubt PUBG is more involved and probably a better experience, but Fortnite is so easy to hop in and get started. I've had almost no issues with the servers, either.

Define "better experience." Fortnite is just great fun and isn't as janky as the average Baltic release.

Guyfamily9992656d ago

I wouldn't say it's a better experience. There's a lot more looting and periods of nothing, whereas fortnite has more actual gunfights. Which is saying something considering even in fortnite there are long periods where not much is happening.

Not a great fan of either...but my 8 year old son loves Fortnight. He's finished No.1 a few times now.

The game is amazingly fun and it doesn't cost a dime to jump in and enjoy it. This game has become huge with every demographic. They update the game a lot so it's more stable than pubg as well which cost money.....

Maybe they'd like to pass some of that love over to the single player "Vs the World" mode. It's more than a little annoying to see how their Battle Royale spin-off that came after the "main" game is pretty much where the focus is now. I don't get the impression the PvE game mode will get much love at this point, which is a shame. The game is fun, but there is too little variety and it gets too samey too quickly.

At least I was gifted a copy of the early-buy-in game, but I can't help but feel like my friend wasted his money given it seems his money is more likely going towards funding the afterthought rather than the game he actually bought.

Goldby2651d ago

yeah i see Vs the world goign down the same path as Paragon has.

reduced support for paragon which used to have weekly updates to fix critical errores or bugs turned to a month without certain cards or characters..

not to mention Fortnite BR is bringing in alot more money than the PVE mode so they will be putting all of their focus on BR.

apparently epics has never heard the advice that you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket
