We come a long way, baby 😎

thekhurg2652d ago

I remember thinking back then that graphics wouldn't get any better. Of course, I remember thinking that on the Atari 2600, 7800, NES, SNES, Genesis, etc... too.

naruga2652d ago (Edited 2652d ago )

why i still like more the original look of the protagonist ?....i like it generally ,some very good improvements here and there but somewhat they couldnt touch the artistic aesthetic of the original which by the way is very present in Last Guardian .....imo Fumido's touch cannot be replicated

Eonjay2652d ago

I don't understand why they had to overkill it so hard with the pro. They should have the regular PS4 since that what most people actually own...

Felsager2652d ago

Septic, stop pretending, your comment history proves that you are an XBOX fanatic of the worst degree.

ABizzel12652d ago

Great to have choices, but Performance > Cinematic any day. The buttery smoothness of riding the horse and climbing Colossi is incomparable IMO.

@ slavishO --> Indeed we have...

Man I am pumped to be returning to this game, I even made a Wallpaper theme for my PS4 pro Because I was so excited -( https://ibb.co/npO0zG )

if you would like to use it here you go enjoy- ( https://ibb.co/nfBJKG ) have to go to this address from your PS4/ PS4 Pro

1. just go to the wallpaper from your PS4 using the browser, type in the address (exactly as it is in the link with caps) then press Square to make the browser full screen... Click on picture. Now scroll down to the Icon next to the like button (bottom right) and hit download / it will make it full screen -- then move the mouse off screen and take a picture using the share button.

2. then go to themes / scroll all the way down to Custom then select the pic you just took / just click on the ( all ) folder / pick the shadow pic you just did and take off dim menu bar because I already made it darker on the top and apply / your done... / enjoy

The 60 fps feels so NICE

Especially since the original was like barely 20 fps

DeadSilence2653d ago

From 4K to new tech as VR, gaming look better than ever, just look at this.

SuperSonic912652d ago

Shhh...Nintendo fans don't like pretty graphics progress

ABizzel12652d ago (Edited 2652d ago )

Now I don't like trolling, but honestly I would love to see an Ocarina of Time remake like this, or a brand new Zelda.

But we'll have to wait for a new Nintendo home console for that, or 5 - 6 years for a Switch 2 :(

Artstyle can go a long way in making a game look good on any hardware, but this game is simply gorgeous.

slavish02652d ago

It does look like a switch vs ps4 comparison.

Yohshida2652d ago

Should be PS2 vs PS3 vs PS4 to the the evolution. Anyways, here you go:

PS2 Games That Hold Up Brilliantly

The PS2 is one of the most celebrated consoles of all time, and what makes it better is that a lot of its games have managed to age better than most.

Wayyy to many games to list but the first 3 that popped in my head.
1.Okami
2.ESPN NFL 2K5
3.GTA San Andreas

DarXyde150d ago

Good list, but I would replace Onimusha with a Onimusha 2.

Amplitude149d ago

Amplitude still holds up brilliantly

Agent75149d ago

I'd say Onimisha 2 and Turismo 4 was better. Maximo, Auto Modellista, Shox, Wipeout Fusion and pulse, Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution to name a few.

piroh156d ago

There's too many games to choose from

No Metal geat solid 1,2,3,4?
No Resident evil?
No Silent hill?
No Midnight club 3?
No NfS Underground 2?
No Final Fantasy?
No Burnout 3?
No Dragon quest 8?
No Days gone?
No Ace combat?
No Tekken/Soul calibur?......
just from the top of my head

PS1 era was full of great RPGs, PS2 was racing generation i would pick top 200 and even that would be just a fraction.

FinalFantasyFanatic155d ago

30 is way too low over the entire history of Playstation, I just wouldn't be able to narrow it down that much, I would pick 100 at least.

Storm23155d ago

Yeah...really odd list. I get that it is personal preference and I love most of the games listed, but my list would definitely be different. I agree though, it would be incredibly difficult to come up with just 30.

lockedongamer1155d ago (Edited 155d ago )

I only picked first-party titles. Otherwise, I agree!

EDIT: Except for Days Gone, I don't get the love for it but you do you!

Chocoburger146d ago

I didn't like Days Gone either, it doesn't deserve to be on any best of list.
