Good article. Companies need to focus on making the core of their game better. To much time is spent on board room focus group crap that we see the same elements repeated throughout every game shoving in features that, while function somewhat decently, aren't quite the right match for a game but gets added anyway because its presumably popular. Its no wonder people are getting sick of open world now. Every company is doing it and none of their core really shines through. From fishing and open world to social agendas and loot boxes. Its like all the companies are getting their info from the same place and just propagate it throughout their games ad nauseam. It shows. Its annoying and its getting tiresome.
