Nintendo Switch is Now the Fastest Selling System of All Time in Canada

The Nintendo Switch has been breaking sales records left, right, and center since it launched- it is currently the fastest selling system of all time in USA, Italy, Spain, France, faster selling than the Wii in Germany, and it has sold faster than the PS2 in Japan. Now, there’s another one to add to the list- Canada.

That's fantastic. Such a fun system. It's weird though that this news won't be welcomed by all.

France
Italy
Spain
Germany
Canada
Japan
USA
All these and a few more are seeing records being broken by Switch, and yet there's still people who think the Switch is destined to fail sooner rather than later, let alone never fail at all.
Some people just can't handle a successful Nintendo.XD

They are eating crows now. And by “they”, I mean people like Lime, Mikelemonade, Chris, Edmix, Bluefox, Masterfox...

I just like how all the people who for the last 5 years said sales don't matter now can't stop shouting about sales. You yourself made the claim that people didn't buy the Wii U because of "Nintendo hate" but these sales records show how much bs that was. People don't hate Nintendo, they hate bad products. The Switch is a good product and sales reflect that.

Oh come on, dude; you know as well as I do that a lot of the people who bashed the Wii U did so more due to their Nintendo hatred than because it was a bad system.
The Switch being a better system doesn't change that.XD

As for people shouting about sales now, a lot of it is because that's all the haters could do last gen.
It's called "tit for tat". I can promise you that even if the Switch weren't selling as well as it is now, most of us who own one and have had so much fun with it would still consider it a good system.

Pretty sure Nintendo fans were talking about sales during the Wii U era. Especially the strong attach rates of Nintendo games for the system.

Also I agree that Nintendo isn't hated... Unless all of a sudden they begin threatening the fanboys of other systems here. Then this place becomes s warzone.

@ wonderfulmonkeyman

The Wii U was a bad system and this is coming from someone who actually bought the system and supported Nintendo. The technology was inferior for a next-generation home console and the Gamepad was such a bad idea that Nintendo themselves didn't even support it in their games. The Gamepad is required for the system to function yet Nintendo refused to sell them seperately so you cannot go out and get a replacement when the Gamepad breaks. I cannot even use my Gamepad for 2-player games on someone else's system - I have to buy a seperate controller.

As for sales, you couldn't even admit that the PS4 was a success and constantly said it was only hype that was selling the system. You couldn't accept that Sony was more successful than Nintendo. You took every opportunity to downplay sales. If you want people to acknowledge they were wrong about the Switch, how about leading by example and admit your mistakes?

Jesus...at this rate the Switch is gonna outsell the Wii.

Congrats Nintendo.
