1UP: Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon Hands-On Preview

Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon's demo station at Namco's booth let us get 10 minutes of hands-on time with a near-complete version of the Wii game. Though 1UP doesn't know the why of things, they do know that you set off as Seto, the game's hero, into an overgrown, rundown building. With a trusty flashlight and golf club in tow, you shine light into the dark indoors, revealing drawings on the walls and lighting your way into abandoned rooms. You can scavenge any usable items you find lying around, but you'll get most items from defeating the game's enemies -- ghosts and demons. These spirits range from your typical demonic baddie like fiery hell hounds to some less clichéd ghosts like torso-less children's legs (they kick to attack you -- yes, it's a little mood-breaking) or glowing jellyghostfish (who knows why).

Yeah I know it seems the battles are varied a lot. That's cool though. This one should be good though.

oprainfall Games of the Past Review: Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon

oprainfall writes:

“If I had to describe Fragile Dreams in one word – and you can probably guess it – it would be ‘subtle.’ The all-around design of the game is subtle and it is an incredible experience because of it. It has its flaws, but they shouldn’t detract from your overall enjoyment of the game.

“If you’re someone who prefers their games to be action packed with quick pacing, this is not a game for you. However, if you are someone who loves to soak in the atmosphere of a game, I cannot recommend Fragile Dreams enough.”
