Star Wars Battlefront II 2005 receives a brand new official Multiplayer patch

DSOGaming writes: "Now here is a pleasant surprise. Disney has just released a brand new multiplayer patch for the 2005 version of Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Now I don’t know if this is any indication of Disney giving EA the middle finger (after what has happened with Star Wars Battlefront 2’s micro-transactions), however this is definitely great news for all Battlefront 2 players that decided to stick with the original title."

Screw it. Just Remaster this game, add new maps and heroes from the new era and don’t let EA do EA things to it, and it’ll sell several millions. The slate is right there for a great Battlefront game; EA are just a bunch of greedy morons.

I Agree 100% THis and I would love to see the SOCOM series remastered.

ONESHOTV2286d ago

there is no need for a remaster the pc version just got a map pack with over 25 MP maps and a new 32vs 32 player count

Read between the lines.

I would agree, but you gotta remember modern consoles; the 2005 graphics would cause it to sell a lot less and give troll reviewers ammo to trash it. No need to let people diss a classic.

Here are the Patchnotes:
"Minor bug fixes and optimized performance, the most important fixes are:
Lobby functionality has been improved
Steam usernames should now display correctly
Ping calculations are more accurate"

Imagine if they allow people to post mods on the workshop = bigger than EA Starwars Payfront 2

Disney should throw EA out the window. It is pathetic that EA has started ruining Star Wars games. What is up with some of the dumb ideas that DICE came up with in the first game and second game? I am going to blame DICE for some of the nonsense as well. The second game has a four hour campaign? Oy!
