This is probably why your Xbox One keeps turning on by itself

Does your Xbox One turn on by itself even in entirely irrelevant situations? There are several culprits behind this and even though it might be a little bit difficult to determine the specific one, try the following methods so you can at least have an idea of what’s happening and then stop it.

In all honesty Microsoft can't put a console out without it having problems I had the red ring of death 3 times with my Xbox 360 and the Xbox One I bought on launch day started to freeze while playing games. I bough the Xbox One S and the Xbox One S does the same thing and goes to the dashboard randomly I've never had a problem with any console just Microsoft consoles.

Sitdown2729d ago

Hmmmm, have you noticed the common denominator with all your Microsoft consoles has been you? 🤔Hmmmmm.

Sit down he was not having a go at the start he was making a joke.

But that said I've been gaming a long time and I've had faults with the PS3 dvd drive giving up. I had the fat PS3 get very loud and also got the yold. I also had the rrod on my Xbox 360. I had issues with my sned stopped reading games, my dreamcast would not read disks. Every console has issues just some people expireance them some don't that is life in technology.

And the OG PS4 isn't much better than the OG Xbox One but we all know the 50% more powerful tripe gets trotted out every time someone wants to flex their e-peen.

As for PC burying the One X, it must have cremated the PS4 Pro. I'd also hope that a £1000+ PC would better a £450 console. If you're gonna pick holes, at least look at all sides rather than cherry picking info that supports your biased view. You seem like the sort of person who would say "lol, that Ferrari tanked that Mini. Minis are shit"

Edit: also, PS4s aren't perfect. My Uncharted 4 Edition wouldn't accept discs within the first hour of me booting it up. And the PS3 had several hardware issues as well. Granted none were as drastic as the RROD but neither MS nor Sony come out of this smelling of roses.

Tazzy2729d ago

Theres not a big leap graphically when it comes to PS4PRO and Xbox One X no Xbox One X has made me say I need the console to play on my 4k tv and a high end PC will bury all consoles its a fact. A high end PC can cost $2,000 and Xbox One X is compared to it so you're telling me the Xbox One X should be compared to performing like a high end PC?? Microsoft has been shipping out faulty hardware with the last few consoles they've had I never had a problem with my PSONE PS2 or PS3 and yet to have one with my PS4 same with Nintendo never had a problem with their consoles a wise move for Microsoft to make is put a lifetime warranty on the consoles they put out.

Ra3v3r2729d ago (Edited 2729d ago )

@Tazzy

Actually I didn't, I said I'd hope that a £1000+ ($1500+) PC WOULD outperform a £450 ($600) console and they generally do.

I'm also not the one comparing it to a high end PC, you are in this instance as are a lot of others out there. For the money, PS4P and One X are great, simple pieces of hardware that give a better performance than their original releases did for the same money when they released.

Both are being limited by the original hardware but the One X could deliver much better results if both were allowed to perform to their potential with 3rd party software. Sony's got a great set of Devs who can really make the hardware sing and this is where MS struggle. Like most hardware though, we are getting to the point of diminishing returns with regards to graphical fidelity. Consoles haven't been at the cutting edge for quite a while now but they are considerably cheaper than their PC counterparts. However, those top end machines are for the niche as opposed to the mainstream.

OctaneLord2728d ago

I had issues with my launch PS4 Pro becoming so loud it sounded like a jet taking off and would shut itself down. Luckily it waa still under warranty.

Gunstar752729d ago

I had RROD 3 times with the 360 (v1) no issues with the later iterations a s none with the OG one, S or X

Tazzy2729d ago

Well consider yourself fortunate I can put my Xbox One S on and play for 45 minutes and games start freezing or sometimes it just goes to the dashboard and its only 4 months old.

Ra3v3r2729d ago

So did I, it actually happened so often I had two 360s so that if one broke I had a back up.

sk8ofmnd2729d ago

I had 4 rrod 360's including the 1 i gave a relative that had one of these 40$ fans that had its own power supply and the damned thing still rrod... lol soo since 2011 ive been a sony only gamer... ms just arent good at making quality products nor amazing gaming experiences

Tazzy2729d ago

Damn thats worse than I had it and the fans didn't help how sad its the fact that they manufacture and design shitty hardware I don't remember any problem with the original Xbox just the 360 and Xbox One and One S. I think thats another reason why I haven't bought an Xbox One X it don't work for some people its crazy plus theres no games i want I took PS4PRO over the Xbox One X and I'm taking the Switch over owning an Xbox One X also. e3 I see a price cut coming for it the console war is between Nintendo and Sony I think Xbox is an afterthought now I agree with you.

Kiwi662729d ago (Edited 2729d ago )

In response to one of your comments just because you didn't have a problem with any console doesn't mean that it didn't happen as if you do a quick search on the Internet you can find numerous articles talking about problems that occurred on not just Xbox, but you seem to have a problem admitting that no console is without faults

sk8ofmnd2729d ago

Lol wasnt the og xbox burning houses down? I was in iraq atm and lugged that big black box everywhere with me and never had 1 problem. Which is pretty damn impressive considering... I have fond memories playing the orig halo capture the flag lan parties...

Mroc132728d ago

You look foolish because after three red rings you went and bought an xbox one. after that failed you bought the one S. when are you buying scorpio? You are the definition of stupid

jagermaster6192728d ago

Never had a problem with any Ms console, you have just been very unlucky I guess. Well except for the rrod was lame but ps had a similar problem it was just less known. The PS4 has all kinds of issues from spitting out disks and overheating so it is what it is.

Dear God it's been 4 years since infinite and no official update on anything lol.

Tacoboto5h ago

No official update on anything?

They replaced studio leadership
They changed the studio name
They announced the change to UE5
... all while supporting Infinite

The support to Infinite isn't what it originally should have been but they've still been providing tons of official updates over the years, and as recently as two months ago added a brand new weapon.

Profchaos2h ago

Dev times in modern days 4 years of silence isn't unheard of when things are running smoothly.

And around 6 months ago 343 did show a tech demo of ue5 using halo assets so it's not radio silence.

Given all the shake ups i am more surprised we're getting anything next year at all.

RaidenBlack8h ago(Edited 8h ago)

They coulda started with Halo 3 remake ... I know Halo CE remaster was not proper with the art style but still, remaking after a remaster seems dull, when Halo 3 and Reach have started to show some age.

PhillyDonJawn3h ago

Yeah I hate they used Halo reach artstyle. Hope this remake feel authentic yet fresh

--Onilink--2h ago

Probably the simplest to work around with. They are reportedly doing it in UE5, so its just as much an Anniversary thing, as its probably the studio getting familiar and setting up their tools and processes in the engine with an actual game, to facilitate the development of the next Halo

Profchaos2h ago

I'm guessing combat evolved has a smaller scope in general the later half of the game features a ton of backtracking and reused assets making it a easier game to remake on a deadline

Its also a better choice if this is the first game to be multiplatform mind you I think it's pretty much a given that anyone with a passing curiosity has played this by now in some way be it pc or brought a used console for a few bucks

pwnmaster30007h ago

Top 5 game for me with a bit of bias.
Me and brother use to play this game everyday split screen.

Probably get it for the PS5 since that’s all he has.
Gonna be weird but fuck it.

darthv723h ago

This will likely come to PS5 at the same time. 25 years of XB.... shared with PS.

Obscure_Observer38m ago

It´s gonna be among best sellers on PS Store next year regardless.
