Totally!!! I think the average consumer didn't know what Wiiu was a successor to the Wii , whereas the message is loud and clear with Switch. Part of the reason it's selling so much. Switch is the true successor to Wii
They are certainly trying hard to market it that way. That being said, I wouldn't be mad if something called Mii Sports was released in a year or two. Would love to have a proper disc golf sim on Switch among other sports.

Not even close to being true. In the latter half of the 80s that notion held weight, but by the 90s Sega had broken Nintendo’s stranglehold on the industry and Sony later did the same thing moreso. Nobody ever called the Genesis or the PlayStation a “Nintendo.”
Yes, the Switch is truly mobile though a bit under-powered for some of the ports it's getting
