Square Enix: "Switch is a very attractive and important platform"

Square Enix has been one of the strongest supporters of Switch in the console’s early lifecycle. Between what’s already out and what’s on the way, the company has a whole lot of love for the platform. Project Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest XI, Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2, and Lost Sphear are just a few of the highlights.

Agreed Square Enix has always supported Nintendo's Portables very well.

Whew, good the only AAA titles are DQX and XI, and one of them is a last-gen port. Keep the AAA focus on PS.

I really don't think the Switch should be considered a "portable" because it switches between portable and docked modes, so it's a home console too. It's one of a kind and deserves its own classification. Just my opinion though. Carry on.

"I really don't think the Switch should be considered a "portable" because it switches between portable"

Okay buddy there's your contradiction right there it is a portable device regardless of what you're displaying at on.

Me being able to play my phone on a television does not negate what it actually is.

Soooo I'm sorry but I have no clue what you mean because you cannot keep saying it's not a portable and then starting the next sentence by saying it's a portable 😂😂😂 28514;

Buddy I'm sorry but no one has any idea what on Earth you're talking about especially when people are playing at on damn trains airplanes and all over the place yet you're trying to say "it's not a portable but wait a minute it also is a portable" 😂😂😂

Umm ok. Sure. Have fun with that bizarre logic. I had fun playing it on a pretty long plane ride so pretty damn positive it's portable 😎

I never changed the classification of what a telephone is simply because I have the option of playing it on the television that doesn't actually negate its portability.

I mean unless you guys have some other stupid narrative you're pushing...

There's lots of portable devices so I could play on the television it does not magically make them no longer portable.

Joke on you. Switch got all of the Dragon Quest games announced and releasing less than 2 years versus PS4 taking 4 years to get all the same Dragon Quest games.

I havent made the jump to the switch, but i feel like they are teetering to have a steady flow of good stuff along the way. Not only that, they only have one console to focus on now.

Fist4achin311d ago

I think it will be an rpg monster! I cant wait to see... game on man!

_-EDMIX-_311d ago (Edited 311d ago )

Most definitely.

I loved playing Bravely Default 1,2 and shin Megami tensei 4 on the 3DS, so I definitely see me going to buy Octopath and shin Megami tensei 5, and I'm guessing that a third Bravely Default is in development.

Nintendo handhelds always got a very respectable amount of RPGs. (Mario & Luigi RPG series)

So I see more than enough great RPGs coming down the pipeline for a purchase.

I never skipped a Nintendo handheld so I'm not going to start now lol

@sep-who said Square Enix made it?

My reference to shin Megami tensei is simply in general of saying there are some good jrpgs coming to the Nintendo switch.

No where in my post do I say Square Enix actually created that game..🤔🤔ԍ 00;

Maybe you need to read it again maybe, I'm not sure.

septemberindecember311d ago (Edited 311d ago )

Shin Megami isnt from Square Enix...

septemberindecember311d ago (Edited 311d ago )

You are talking about Square Enix RPGs and then shove Shin Megami in the middle for no reason?

You could have included that after you mentioned how it’s had a respectable amount of RPGs. But you didn’t. You listed it with all the SE releases. Then mentioned it’s ‘other’ RPGs after.

You don’t have to explicitly s at something for people to understand implications. But, hey, I’d expect no less from you.

Agreed, I'm glad Nintendos replacement home console switch is getting strong support just like the handhelds did.
