Naoki Yoshida Talks The Future Of Final Fantasy XIV (TSA)

TSA writes: "After another phenomenal year for Final Fantasy XIV, which included the launch of its second major DLC in the shape of Stormblood and saw its player base grow to new heights, we were lucky enough to grab some time with the MMO’s producer Naoki Yoshida to discuss its development, its future, and what sets it apart from the other MMOs out there."

That's an easy topic. More of the same.

More generic dungeons that you grow bored of in one run. More vertical garbage progression.
Bigger numbers.
More "tomestones" to do the same thing you've been doing the past 4 years already.
More artificial barriers to keep you constrained.
More "balancing" to make each "job" blur into one generic pile of trash that has no identity of its own.
More......... well, you get the picture.

I love the music, the world, the graphics, the enemies, etc. But it definitely has its downfalls. I quit playing due to how long it takes to finish anything. Just upgrading my weapon takes like 10 hours of gameplay. I just can't justify the time spent for such little gain. Beautiful game though, it can definitely be fun, especially when playing with others.

Isn’t this is how most PC users feel? That is why they have their head far up a motherboards socket, they fear the world and escape to 0’s and 1’s; thank god for nerds who fear outside or we wouldn’t have games /s

Too much self-depreciation for too little humor.

Your lack of contribution to intelligent conversation is only outdone by your lack of effort with this comment

Maybe I will learn something from someone that saw fit to use "nerd" in their comment with a forward slash 's'... Seriously, I am not making this stuff up, it's actually happening.

the comment says more about you than pc gamers.

The biggest news should be him talking about wanting to make a more traditional jrpg. I'd love to see this, prefer it as well

Yeah, something I can actually play. I do everything on Story mode essentially. Can't play any difficult games unfortunately. I always loved the aesthetic of From Software's games and wish they were a little more accessible.
