Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "Sonic Adventure 2 was one of the few memorable in a good way 3D Sonic titles and one of my favorites."
Sonic Frontiers has won over Japan after years of poor sales.
For someone like me that started playing games at late 90s it was heartbreaking to see what happened to SEGA. Good to hear this because how things were going in the last years for them. I remember the time when they closed a lot of arcades in Japan. Or even when Microsoft almost bought them several years ago.
I have a feeling the sales will drop a ton the next week since everyone figured out it's barebones and a technical mess. Hype and name brand can only get you so far.
I wanted to like this game but they did everything possible to disappoint. Maybe they can use this as a stepping stone for a future title, but so far this isn't it.
For over thirty years, Sonic the Hedgehog has provided memorable video game music and brought many artists from around the world together.
Phil writes, "Today, June 23rd, 2021, is Sonic the Hedgehog's 30th anniversary. 30 years ago today in 1991 a blue hedgehog named Sonic took the gaming world by storm with a spin dash, a too-cool-for-school attitude, and a hankering for chili dogs. SPC celebrates the occasion with a special top ten list, presenting the site's picks for the very best of the Blue Blur's biggest and boldest titles. After you've checked out the picks here, which Sonic games would you select as your personal favorites?"
wheres sonic 06 lol. I know im in the minority but if you can look past all the glitches I actually liked the game.
Hmmm, this is kinda cheating, but I would rate Sonic 3 & Knuckles as #1, rather than having the two games separately occupy #2 and #3.
That was literally the only game I played for YEARS.
In any order
Sonic Adventure 1
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Shuffle
Sonic Generations
Sonic Lost World
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic CD
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
It's still the best Sonic game of the lot in my opinion.
Agree
I used to love the game, but it's one of the most overated in the series (much like Sonic CD) My biggest problem with SA2 is that only a third of the game is spent doing the running stages (which are the best, but most of them are very short) the rest is padding with rubbish emerald hunting (boring, to big, take to long and worse mechanics than SA1) boring mech stages.
You spend more time in a single stage like Mad Space, of Death Chamber, than you probally do playing as Shadow through the WHOLE game.
The game has Awful camera control, awful sound mixing and you spend more time doing the other lame "play styles" than actually running around like Sonic games should.
Chao garden was great though.
