RDR2.com writes "Everyone who has been paying the slightest bit of attention to gaming news is likely familiar with the Battlefront 2 fiasco regarding the lootboxes and microtransactions. The controversy was big enough to prompt EA to turn off microtransactions in the game entirely, but that couldn’t quiet the many voices that cried foul. Soon, eyes were turned to other upcoming AAA titles, Red Dead Redemption 2 among them."
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is currently available with a massive discount on Steam, which has caused its player count to rise in a big way.
Star admits he may have "misled" fans
Damn, I was hoping for an updated patch. Well let’s see if the rumors are still true, that it’s coming to Switch 2. There’s still hope……I hope
Everyone just hold up a minute! 🤔 This could still be possible. Perhaps this cast member was told to hush and draw attention away from a big reveal
The voice actors for Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith have vaguely confirmed a claim by Rob Wiethoff (voice of John Marston) that big news related to the Red Dead franchise will be coming "before Friday."
I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2
I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.
I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.
My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.
why not present the other facts in the article such as NBA 2k18 problems or other instances of microtransactions being prevalent in their games, why can't you do more research on the article?
Doubt it haha there is nothing illegal about MT's and done correctly they are fine. I mean look at how incredibly successful GTAV Online is, still. The reason BF2 had such an uproar is that the progression is tied to loot boxes, loot boxes are able to be bought with MT's therefore giving a slight advantage, and then people started saying loot boxes are now equivalent to gambling.
I doubt RDR2 will have loot boxes, but they will for sure have an equivalent to the Card Sharks in GTAV.
I'll believe it when I see it...
Take-two Interactive is not to be trusted when it comes to MT.
They have been just as bad as EA.
