Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon debut at the top of the charts with 915,221 copies sold.
Pokemon sales are insane as always.
Now to bring it to the Switch...
Yeah first two spots! Speaking of which about 50% of the top 20 games are JRPG's. 9 out of 20 are Sony systems. Eleven of the top 20 are on Nintendo systems. 0 out of 20 are Microsoft systems.
The day a new Pokemon drops on the Switch will be epic, can't wait
look at that, a Wii U game outsold both the Switch and PS4. Bonkers I tell ya Another great week for Nintendo.
Xbox One X goes from 1344 sales last week to 143 this week. Big drop.
i was expecting 220, but i have a feeling they can bounce it up to 300 just now
we know why this not approved yet
Because there are much more PlayStation gamers than Nintendo gamers on this forum, just like any other forum?
you are correct for first time
If by “gamers” you meant fanboys, then yes you are right.
Pokemon go 90mil+ players uncharted 4 10 mil players ?
Because it had several reports that needed to be fixed before approval.
Nail on the head in this case.
Because Nintendo fanboys are too lazy to approve articles. It says a lot about the Nintendo community that it cannot even get 10 contributors to approve articles but are the first ones to complain when something they want isn't approved.
So you have to be a Nintendo fanboy in order to approve Nintendo article? Well thanks you for explaining that.
@Kun Heck, it isn’t even a Nintendo article. So I’ve no idea why he brought up fanboys at all.
Pretty much, the guy complaining has been a member for 500 days, and didn't bother taking the contributor test to approve submissions lol.
@Kun You have to be a fanboy to not do something but then complain about someone else not doing it because they secretly hate your preferred console. Today there are currently over 225 pending articles on N4G. Genmol approved 2. And those 2 articles yesterday were the only ones he approved this week. Same thing with septemberindecember - he's a contributer that posted this Google Translate piece but doesn't bother to actually approve articles on N4G. With contributors like this, is it any wonder why some articles take so long to get approved? There are just as many Sony and Xbox articles that take the same amount of time to get approved, yet it is only in Nintendo articles that this ridiculous conspiracy theory is always posted. If you don't like how long it takes for your preferred articles to get approved, take the test, become a contributor that actually contributes to N4G, and fix it.
"There are just as many Sony and Xbox articles that take the same amount of time to get approved, yet it is only in Nintendo articles that this ridiculous conspiracy theory is always posted." This isn't a Nintendo article though. Why do you keep implying it is?
@septemberindecember a lot of haters view sales charts as Nintendo articles. Because they shine a positive factual numbers on Nintendo's sales that contradict what they say about the system.
@ Gameskeeper Spot on. Plus we already had a media create sales article approved before this one, but reporting the exact same thing. Also that other article approved was Gamers Will Take Longer to Sell Nintendo Switch than PS4 and Xbox One, GameStop Expects....
@knushwood There was no media create article that was approved this week at the time of posting. Hence why I posted this one. Looking through a list of approved articles I still don’t see an approved media create article for this week aside from this one.
@gameseeker You are right in that I should approve articles more often, but Media Create is NOT Nintendo. It’s a weekly sales article. I don’t see people see people complaining about Nintendo articles not being approved, but they are complaining about the pattern of sales articles which people avoid approval when certain companies win or lose. It’d be like people avoiding approval of an NPD article just because Xbox or PlayStation won. That being said...in this instance the reason it wasn’t approved for so long was entirely my doing. I neglected to fix three error reports until mid-day yesterday.
It's there under Alternate Sources above. There was a separate submission that linked to the alternare source, and was approved before this.
@knushwood Are you sure that was posted before mine? I believe they added that source to mine after the fact. Otherwise mine would have been flagged as a duplicate.
I'm pretty sure but seen as that article is now gone I guess there's no way of confirming unless it still shows up in the approval history. Anyway, I'm not having a go at you or this article.
Okay Nintendo now you are just showing off. lol
Guess people like being screwed over by buying the same game a year later with minimal changes, a game that wouldn't even qualify as an official Pokemon third entry with how little it adds. Any other studio did that and they'd be crucified.
Except you have a choice to buy last year’s game instead of this year’s Pokemon if you find that the differences between both games are minimal. They didn’t force your hands to buy the new version.
That's not the point, why would you get last years today when you can get the new one. If you haven't played the original version fair enough but people buying both of them...I mean come on. Like I said if anyone else did this and released the same game with just small additions to justify a new game a year later they'd be called worse then shit for it. Least when you had things like Crystal, Emerald, Yellow etc they actually felt like they added to the experience and had a good chunk of post game content which expanded on things, these games are almost exactly the same.
I’ve never understood why people suggest, that folks are being screwed over when they make an informed purchase. These are the same people that complain about yearly COD releases. All of those games release with new campaigns, maps gameplay tweaks etc. These are the same people that buy every god of war or forza, or GT that comes out, it’s all basically the same shit unless it’s a new IP. Stop judging and start gaming.
Informed Purchase? I've seen many people, mostly friends and the friends of friends at social gatherings, who don't look into what's going on in the gaming industry, have bought this game and have said themselves how it's either lacking or feels the same as last years. They wern't informed, I mean we are...but not everyone, most people just see Pokemon and have an impulse to buy it on brand name alone. Forza and GT do have jumps though to justify them as a new title...and they don't come out all the time. Forza only seems frequent because you have Forza Horizon made by a different develop in collab with Turn 10. So honestly...bad exampels man, pretty bad. "Stop judging and start gaming" Yes because you can't judge and game. Basically what it sounds like is you saying is ignore any critisitisms or whatever bad pratices the develoeprs are doing and just buy it. Yeah...that'll show those developers whoever they are. Guess I'll just stop judging Battlefront II and go and buy that huh
&Foxtrot I like to think the majority of people who purchase a specific series or certain games are generally informed. At least that has been my experience. There’s plenty of options to conduct your research. You’re passing judgement on games I assume you haven’t played yourself, but have only read about. Often times reviewers exaggerate about games shortcomings for hits or to get a reaction. Actually ignoring certain developers and games you’re opposed to, is a good start. Don’t give them your hard earned money. But at the same time just because you don’t believe there’s value in certain games, it doesn’t mean it’s a fact. I’m sure people who buy these Pokémon games will log far more hours than I did in uncharted, until dawn etc combined. So honestly they’re probably getting more value in one game then I am in two to three games. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
You really don't know everything that it adds if you think that it wouldn't even qualify as a third entry. There are quite a few additions to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Not that many, I've literally saw Youtube clips and saw at friends scenes played out in the original games with minimal changes. One scene in the original might have a character there, the one in this one will either have a new character or the there's no one else there at all. It follows the exact same story and a few other stuff. So yeah...I kind of know.
Oh, you've seen Youtube videos? Wow, who had any idea you were such an expert! Seriously, the content in this game would definitely be worth it as a regular third entry with it's alternate timeline, additional story content, new areas, and 100 added Pokemon both new and old.
Sorry did you just miss the part where I said Youtube videos and saw a friends, a close friend actually so I got to try it aswell. Oh god...you're one of those people on here who just see's what he wants to see. I'm done.
I'm just informing you of the content found in the game. You feel like it wouldn't be worth the third entry, but there have been third entries with less content additions than this game. Don't get mad at me because you didn't know what you were talking about. The whole "played it at a friends" excuse is very unbecoming.
Jesus, the Switch is killing it and its not even funny. And to a small minority of those on this site who said Pokemon don’t push console sale, well you are wrong again. When Pokemon releases for the Switch, a full fledged console game at that, the Switch will fly off the shelves even faster than it is right now.
TBH I’ve been waiting for a console Pokémon game for a very loooooong time, I think it’s almost time to purchase a Nintendo console again. ( I haven’t purchased one since the 64)
Yep, Switch is killing it.....in Japan. In US and UK (and probably whole Europe) PS4 leads YTD.
The Switch was number 1 in the US based on NDP in October. What are you on about dude?
