I challenged my wife to write a video game article and this is what she came up with

"My husband and I sorta butted heads over if we could do each other’s jobs. I decided to test myself and see if I could actually write something even semi-interesting involving games. It was hard coming up with a topic so I figured the easiest way to do this is by making a list, as I have seen video game lists all over the internet. So, without further ado, I present to you.. my top 5 favorite video games" -- PlayStation Enthusiast

Don’t take it the wrong way, but your wife should stick to the medical field.

I know it’s a fun article, not meant to be taken too seriously, however it was insightful. Normally gamers get tunnel vision and there is a sort of shared of opinions into what are the best games, so a non gamers opinion is always fun to look at (except that All Stars is better than Smash, wtf??).

Not video game related. Is this a blog website?

This is garbage, not the article but the fact she put animal crossing in her top 5.

It is what it is. Personal preference accounts for literally every aspect of an individual's life leading up to that given experience, and it confuses me greatly that people always seem to misinterpret what these lists (and reviews in general, to be honest) signify. That is, people aren't actually looking for insightful perspectives when they read this stuff. They're specifically looking for other people to reinforce their own opinions...and that's it.

So honestly, what good is reading a list or a review going to do for you if all you're going to take away from it is "this is or is not congruent with my opinions and expectations?"
