Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "My time with the Xbox One X prior to launch was all about games, I played so many but the ones that I definitely had on my mind were the games that ran the absolute worst on standard hardware. "
I agree, it's help the majority of games but I tried Dead Rising 3 on X1X and it ran the the same and also had some graphical bugs that aren't there on the X1S. I would love for them to release an Xbox One X enhanced patch for this game. It's one of my favorites.
Agreed my friend has the box and said it's not that much of a noticeable difference...not sure what everyones so excited about. He also said some games are glitchy but the menu response is improved.
this is another release first fix later mentality at its finest. not only games are getting this treatment, but now consoles too?? that's one hell of an expensive "fix"! $500!
This is nothing new, why are ppl so surprised by this? PS4 Pro has been doing this for a while with Boost Mode. Games like AC Unity and Just Cause 3 run much better on Pro even without a patch. These are the perks of these mid gen upgrades. Even unpatched games can have better framerates, faster loads, more stable resolution ect. Been enjoying this feature for a while now.
Also I remember Mad Max stuttering in one zone for not apparent reason just while driving around.
I fired that up last night and drove around and it was perfect, but that was a thing that only happened sometimes, so I'm not really sure if it corrected the issue or I just didn't encounter it at all.
Exactly! I wholeheartedly agree with you! MS messed up big time when they released the OG Xbox One. Im just glad MS learned from their mistakes. Or rather much in thanks to Phil Spencer the company is back on track.
idk what you talking about i played dying light on base xbox one and it ran ok to me i think you're one of those guys that always finds something to complain about
No, every Xbox game you pop into the X should see some improvement without any patch. It is how MS designed the console and it is amazing the improvements it has made to all of my games.
I thought they confirmed the XBOX ONE X doesnt have boost mode like the Pro does, i'm sorry but im still seeing the same frame drops I had on my OG xbox 1 and Xbox 1 S
@2pacalypsenow: If you recall correctly Sony championed the idea of "Boost Mode" after the PS4 Pro launched with no such feature for previous titles. That's because Sony didn't build the Pro with previous PS4 games in mind. Also why Boost Mode makes some titles unstable instead of better as the warning you get from Sony itself says is possible. https://support.us.playstat...
Xbox One X was created with enhancements to not only Xbox One but also Xbox 360 titles in mind allowing such things to be done on the system level rather than solely from patches. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Xbox One X doesn't have boost mode per say like the PS4, because MS says it is designed to improve every Xbox game, whether enhanced or not, and from all my games I have played it is true. Every game is enhanced by default.
I've played Dead rising 3, Dying light and Sunset Overdrive, and I'm not seeing these "Enhancements" games perform exactly the same.
I"m sorry but I'm gonna believe MS telling me all games are improve when I don't see any of the improvements on games that doesn't specifically say "Xbox one X enhanced".
Maybe there's a youtube video showing comparisons of non enhanced games performing better.
Um no, had the X not released I was fine playing my games on the X1S, but any perfirmance, visual improvements Sony and MS gives us console only gamers is appreciated which is why I bought the PS4 Pro, and loving the X right now, so all is good for me.
Nah your responses are all the happiness I could ever need, keep replying and keep trying to insult me with your pathetic childish comments it makes me laugh.
Called 3 best buys, 5 walmarts, 3 gamestops, and 3 target stores. Finally got one. Amazon doesn't mean shit Sony boys. High demand is 100 percent real.
Sure it is when each store only has five consoles. Lol. You think you'd ever see Sony launch with five consoles per store? Of those five...you got one...there were four before you three days after launch. They sell two a day...for how long? It doesn't seem as 100 percent real as you say.
This has been a very welcome bonus so far. Not just the more stable framerates, but the huge boost to load times and responsiveness in game menus etc.
Really designed this thing the right way.
So many games I've yet to play. Can't wait to get my X1X .
Nice a product that will force xbox owners to upgrade, base xbox sucks so much that you wanna upgrade.
The X Is so good in so many levels!!
