Pre-TGS: Hironobu Sakaguchi returns to Square Enix?

The biggest gaming event this year in Japan, Tokyo Game Show 2008, is about to kick off. This week's Famitsu issue listed Square Enix as one of the companies that has no surprise announcements at the event this year (along with six other game companies), but as always, rumors are spreading like wildfire in the internet.

The biggest rumor this year is all about the Square Enix and Microsoft love. The EGM crew claims they saw Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the famed Final Fantasy franchise who later created Mistwalker, a game company with the financial backing of Microsoft, hanging out with both Square Enix legends Yoshitaka Amano and Nobuo Uematsu. The three were reading papers right next to the Microsoft and Square Enix booths (which are right next to each other).

This little reunion sparked the interest of the EGM crew that immediately jumped to conclusion that something is about to happen, and it smells good. What do you think? An entire game created by Mistwalker and published by Square Enix? A co-developed game? Will Hironobu Sakaguchi make a comeback and return to Square Enix? Whatever happens, we will try and be your number one source for TGS 2008 news. Stay tuned as the event kicks off today.

Square Enix will probably work with Hironobu Sakaguchi on Re-Making Final Fantasy 7 for Xbox 360. FF7 is Sakaguchi's baby and he is on Microsofts payroll. Plus it's obvious that SE and Microsoft are in bed together.

Could you imagine the flow of hatred filled tears if that were to come true? I get tired of hearing about a FF7 remake. It's a good game I guess but the horse has been beaten to a pulp.

People are still on that FFVII Remake? Geez let it go for the sake of your sanity.

Either way it cant happen since Sony has publishing rights to FFVII

@Steven Colbert

Not true, Sony only published the original Final Fantasy VII, that doesn't give them property rights. Property rights are owned by Square Enix. They can do whatever they want with their own property. In fact, SE published the Great Hits version of FF7.

Manufacturer: OCZ Technology

Information: Website
Street price: 149 USD/EUR 3 GB - 299 USD/EUR 6 GB

Howdy people. You know, if there is one thing that Core i7 processors will drive upwards .. it'll be sales of DDR3 memory. See the processor now has a memory controller integrated into it's core logic, and the good thing is .. it's designed for high frequency DDR3 memory. In fact it loves it so much that Intel decided to design a triple channel memory controller, which makes a big difference.

We understand, it's a bit of a bold move by being forced from 2 DIMM modules towards three in your PC, but trust me when I say .. it's worth the effort. The memory performance without any doubt is making a difference on the new Core i7 platform managing it's overall performance increase, and this is the reason why you have seen many press-releases from memory vendors releasing new triple channel ready memory kits.

Very blunt, a triple channel memory kit is nothing other than high frequency, low voltage DIMMs that you guys already know, the difference is that that there's now three DIMMs in the packaging.

Now I've been using Core i7 triple memory in several flavors already, and guys .. even if you won't purchase the fastest memory available in the block, the difference is orgasmic. Today will test a triple memory kit from none other than OCZ technology, renowned for their speedy part we'll take a look at their OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Gold Low-Voltage Triple Channel memory. Memory that is capable of 1600MHz DDR3 CL 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) and comes with a lifetime warranty.

An all new 6 GB kit which we'll test on an 64-bit Windows Vista environment. Razer sharp an fast stuff for sure .. let's check it out.
