New Donkey Kong Game For Nintendo Switch Hinted At By Reggie Fils-Aime

Both of these have received incredible praise and now it appears we might see another classic Nintendo series come to the Nintendo Switch, Donkey Kong.

TBH there would be no point in buying back RARE for the simple reason that those developers that made all those classics (DK, 007, Banjo etc.) are no longer working there.

I get what you were trying to say, but the traditional DK series has always been 2D side-scrolling, not 3D.

Oh God, if they can make a legit successor to DK64, Nintendo will have won back millions of RARE fans.

I would prefer a sequel to Tropical Freeze. That game was the best 2D platformer ive ever played and the foundation is there for more.

I say give it to Monster Games (who ported DKCR to 3ds) with Retro supervising.

Always look forward to another outing in Donkey Kong, but I hope it has a nice blend of the Country trilogy thrown in. In my opinion, I felt like Donkey Kong 64 was a little tiring, somewhat of a letdown - what with all the collecting multiple times over.

Seeing as BOTW and Odyssey both involved franchises going back to their open world roots I could see a new DK game being open world as well. Nintendo is all about open world games now with another coming out in December. Wouldn't mind a follow up to Tropical Freeze though. I'll take either type of game honestly.

I'd rather take a traditional 2d platformer than an open world game.
I feel like every game is open world now and I'm getting tired of it because they usually sacrifice something else in order to make the game bigger
In the end, most end up feeling empty.
