Wii will be demolished by Ps4, 100M is easy cake.

Not really you have to separate PS4 sales and PS4PRO sales and I don't see it selling more than Wii people will more than likely get the PRO now and neither will pass Wii.

They both play every game the other does without exception, so why would you need to separate them? They are both ps4. Frankly even if you separate them I think ps4 slim would easily still surpass the wii.

They're separated because they're 2 different consoles thats why click the link it shows PS4 sales and PS4PRO sales that to me says they're separated in sales.

Chevalier388d ago

That's like saying the Wii Mini sales have to be separated from Wii sales to count or the PS2 slim from the fat PS2 which is ridiculous. Its called a PS4 Pro. I.e. PS4.

Wii sold to way more casuals though, so unless there are more casual games I don't know if it will. Then again it will likely stay on the market for 10yrs like most PS system does. So anything is possible.

So it begins. It'll be two years until PS4 pulls completely ahead

Why compare sales of a 11 year old console to the sales of a current console it makes no sense Nintendo won that console war.

darthv72389d ago

PS4 is selling so well that they are trying to gauge just how well by comparing it to previous high selling systems.

Tazzy389d ago

Thats fine but I think more will go with the PRO and those sales differ I went with it and I'm glad I waited to get the PRO i would have been pissed if I got a PS4 and they released the PRO 3 years later.

CurbStompin389d ago

Tazzy, that is the dumbest logic I have ever heard. Man, Glad I waited for the Iphone X.... I would have been pissed if I bought the iphone 10 years ago and they launched the X ten years later.

They will launch a PS5 3 (or 2) years ahead. What is the point?

darthv72389d ago (Edited 389d ago )

Unfortunately, only sony knows the ratio of Pro to base models. to the rest of us... a Pro is in the same family as the base model. Hence both are PS4's and overall that is what sony is looking at.

I bought into the base model when the Pro released, knowing full well that i was getting a lesser machine. I wasn't going to pass up a PS4 for $100 (bought it from a buddy who upgraded to the pro). I am not the least bit pissed as a result.

It may be that most of the pro sales are from those who initially had the base model and upgraded. That is not uncommon when you have revisions to systems over the course of it's lifetime. People buy multiple units for varying reasons. some to replace dead ones, others to get the latest and greatest and even some who just want to have an extra in the house.

FallenAngel1984389d ago

Because both are the best selling consoles of their generations.

Wow, didn't realize it kept such close pace with the Wii. It's almost passed the 3DS. I think 4 years or so in is when the casual crowd began to move on and the Wii started to really slow down, so if PS4 keeps pace, it'll shouldn't have much trouble passing it.
