After Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces is a Step Back - OnlySP

OnlySP: "Sonic Forces, out next month on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One, revisits the era-spanning gameplay of 2011’s Sonic Generations in an attempt to recapture the magic that made that title the best new console platformer for the character since 2001’s Sonic Adventure 2."

Seems like they are trying to replicate Sonic Generations a little...but why bring back Classic Sonic in another time twisting adventure. Seems like a repeat in a way.

Soon as they added the whole customization character I got doubts, they bring in so many characters they forget the core focus....Sonic.

If you wanted characters. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy would have done. I think after this it may be time to use Classic Sonic again and make 3D games with him like Sonic Adventure while having Classic Sonic 2D games like Mania. Maybe go after the Sonic the Comics UK as they had some really good stories, plus Amy in that was way better written and designed.

not liking the custom character, 2d sonic and section of modern sonic, why do you tag team with custom character?(its not heroes style)

its obvious a full 3d adventure evolve style gameplay. i was hoping for an open world kind of game
