Not this time. From prior to the launch of EA Access:
"It's worth noting that the terms of service listed on the EA Access website provide EA with the right to remove games from the Vault. From a legal standpoint, it would be surprising if that were not included in the TOS, and this doesn't necessarily signal an intent to remove games. Should a game ever be removed for some reason (or online services for a Vault game be shut down), EA will make an announcement 30 days in advance."
Why not just let people continue to download it and play it offline? It's not like the game is taking up room. It's digital. They are trying to force gamers to move up to the next game. If you delete the game, you can no longer download it. If you move to another Xbox, you can no longer download it.
Apocalypse Shadow "Why not just let people continue to download it and play it offline?"
Why when there are newer titles still part of the same subscription. That's like saying why doesn't Sony offer GT4, GT5 and GT6 for Playstation Now? There are servers to support as well.
"It's purposely done to push gamers forward. That's EA for you."
I can no longer play GT 5 online, am I now supposed to say that's Sony for you?
So now 4 year old games are insignificant huh, try and remember that next time a “new” older game gets announced for BC and you act like it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Or will 4 year old games matter then?
To be clear I don’t see an issue with what EA is doing in this particular scenario, I just find it funny that someone who rallies for older games to be accessible, acts so non chalant when an older game becomes inaccessible.
okay. had to scroll 4 posts down until i got the title. this very bad teaser text prevented me from clicking. i mean, blogger or bloggeresse: if you had to make the title such a secret because you feared no one would click your article, then rightly so.
My God, some of you people will bitch about anything.
Somebody could walk up to you in the next five minutes and hand you the keys and title to a new Ferrari and you'd bitch because it was the wrong shade of red.
Some people trust EA with their money up front for an access service they don't control. The worst, most anti-consumer and anti-developer company in the business gets their trust and their money. That's what gets me.
Because one retains some value while the other...... wait, why the f**k am I explaining common knowledge to you? Are you really this clueless? If you are, then I will finish my sentence.
Ah yes, those "games as a service" sure do shine brightly.
Just as brightly as the "all digital, you own nothing, we can revoke your permission to use what you paid for if we ever feel like it for any amended made up reason, whatever you pay for has no value whatsoever, future".
Gaming has never been better. Great time to be a gamer!
Only a Sony fan could make a meal over FIFA 14 being removed when 15, 16 and 17 are still available. It will have zero downloads in Access as THREE successors are available. Give it a rest.
Honestly, this is something that EA should have been more upfront about instead of stating "No Game Shall ever be removed"... They could have added a caveat that sports games xx years old would be reviewed for removal/removed if an updated version of that game is available on the service... But, they didn't and that would have avoided this bad PR for a company that already has a less than stellar reputation...
Well, ... licenses ... that's also why Microsoft no longer sells Forza horizon oder Forza 5 ... just because auf license fees But let's not forget, it's a yearly sports-game and the other games are still included in ea-access.
EA breaking a promise? 😱
Nah it couldn't happen
This is why I stick with physical thanks
When will gamers learn, you abandon EA they die and don't return.
Millennial muppets buying repeated cancerous gaming has ruined gaming talent.

Let the screwover continue. Does anybody actually think in a few years time EA Acess WON'T have separate subscriptions for different game genres?
